lately i have really gotten into cooking dinner for my family (im 15)
and i have made shepards pie and homemade chicken pot pie.
so any suggestions?

CHICKEN ALA KING

INGREDIENTS:
6 Tbs Butter/Margarine.
1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour.
1/4 Tsp Turmeric (for color - optional)
1/8 Tsp Nutmeg.
Salt and Pepper to Taste.
2 1/2 Cups Milk.
10oz Can Concentrated Chicken Broth (bouillon).
10oz Can Concentrated Cream of Chicken Soup.
5oz Water (1/2 soup can).
4oz Can Sliced Mushrooms (drained).
1 Cup± Canned Peas,drained.
2 Cups± Cooked, Chicken or Turkey, cut into cubes.INSTRUCTIONS:
In a 3 quart saucepan, melt butter/margarine.

Stir in flour, salt, pepper, turmeric and nutmeg.

Add the milk, water, chicken broth and cream of chicken soup.

Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly.

Reduce heat to low.

Stir in the peas, mushrooms and chicken/turkey, simmer until heated through.

Serve over Toast, English Muffins or in Baked Patty Shells or biscuits.ENJOY!

Chicken Cordon Bleu

6-8 boneless chicken breasts pounded to 1/4 inch thick
6-8 slices smoked ham
6-8 slices Swiss cheese
1 egg
1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil or non-stick cooking spray

Place 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese on each chicken breast. Roll-up and secure with a toothpick. Dip each breast in the egg and then coat with the bread crumbs. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. You may either fry these breasts in a skillet with hot oil or place in a baking dish and spray with non-stick cooking spray and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
