As if hamas is the cause of the Middle East tragedy!

Who came first, hamas or Israel?
Hamas is twenty years old and Israel occupying Palestine since 59 years?

Israel is torturing the Palestinians since 1948 and hamas first “Qassam rocket” was lunched in Oct 26, 2001.

Mimi, you are unable to understand my question!!! Are you okay??, could you please open your eyes and read my question again, I am asking who the cause of the Palestinian tragedy is, the rockets who started six years ago or the occupier who is 59 years old of aggression?
And for your information, I am not hamas, and truly it is honor to be member of hamas.
If I were a member of hamas I will say it loudly and proudly.

Mimi, now I am sure that you are a little Israeli acting smart and telling she is Palestinian.
Now I am 100% sure you don’t belong to us…. I am really happy that you are not Palestinian.

I support HAMAS and HEZBOLLAH the same way and for the same reasons jews supported the occupation authority back in the late forties when it consisted of three organizations - the Irgun, the Stern Gang and the Hagaanah, all designated as "terorist" by the UN and all now a part of the O.A. I firmly support anyone who is taking action against the brutality of the judeofascist regime installed by the U.S.

You are incorrect, and perhaps that explains the true issues at hand. The occupation of any land that will be Palestine began only after the Six Day War of 1967, i.e. 40 years ago. The fact that an important percentage of people cannot accept Israel's existence is to blame for the continued strife, and that viewpoint is echoed in your own statement. You consider the whole area occupied, including that which is recognized as Israel. In essence, you do not accept Israel's right to exist, and that's the problem. Hamas is only the figurehead of that problem.
I would turn the question around. Why do some people blame the conflict on the occupation? War and bloodshed predate the occupation by at least 20 years and in truth more like 50. The occupation begain in 1967, while the first riots against Jews in Israel occured already during the beginning of that century.

Here we go again.

Hamas is against the establishment of a Palestinian state. If they were truly for a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip they would:

a. Recognise Israel's right to exist
b. Stop violence

Since there has been open warfare on the streets of Gaza, Israel can turn to the rest of the world and say "Look, the Palestinians cannot govern themselves, therefore why should we hand over the West Bank?"

As long as Hamas continues it's low level guerilla warfare against Israel, there will be no Palestinian state.

Yes, the elections were democratic but so were those that brought Hitler and Mugabe to power. The Palestinians were well aware of Hamas's terrorist activities. You reap what you sow.

I don't only blame Hamas, I balme the Israeli agression as well. But I blame hamas because they don't think about their action and they seriously think that by their stupid qassam rockets, they will free palestine. If they really love the palestinians the should stop launching their rockets.
Ask yourself those questions:

What is the benefit of the qassam rockets thrown everyday?

Are they going to free palestine?

Is killing the civilians what hamas wants or killing the israeli soldiers is the aim if they are fighting for freedom?

Is what they are doing giving a good idea about their religion or a bad idea?

Why do you think Gaza is the most palestinian city that gets violated by the Israelis?

Why are there so many checkpoints?

How can the Israelis trust them and give them more land when they threaten them all the time by killing them?

Hamas should shut their ups and leave the humans agrue with each other peacefully.
If annapolis fails to give a good result, it will be more or less hamas's fault as well.
They keep saying we will not regognize Israel when it is a fact since 1948, what a stupidity, who cares if they recognize it or not, it is already there and they won't be magic that will suddenly remove it for the world's map

Tell your allies to stop stupidity, the whole world hate us because of them. We have had enough discrimination and humilation from the Arabic countries and nobody believes that we have good people as long as there is Hamas.

Salaam

ABC, you are funny. So I answered your question without reading it. ha ha ha. Yes of course the Israeli occupation came a long time ago before Hamas and yes the Israeli occupation caused a lot of tragedy to the Palestinians but again I tell you, once fuc'king Hamas and everybody who supports them get some mind and know their size, the tragedy will become easier. If the damn Hamas stop their stupid rockets, the Israelis will have no justification to continue their humilation to the Palestinians. The other arabs will have no reason to call us agressors and discriminate against us. The western world will not have to say look what those MUSLIM terrorists are doing. You are the one who doesn't want to understand. We know that the Israelis are a direct cause of our tragedy but why do we give them the opportunity to turn it to a disaster.
Peace

If you really want to discuss Hamas, I hope you will address mimi's points as they are all very important questions. I agree with her that because of Hamas the world blames the Palestinians and is less willing to side with their cause, although it is a just one.

There are appropriate ways to fight and there are inappropriate ways to fight, not only from a moral standpoint, but from the standpoint of strategy. I, too, see absolutely no strategic reason to lob Qassams or to blow up pizza parlors and buses, not to mention that these actions are morally reprehensible and against Islamic values.

If they would take a different approach in their struggle, most people would not blame them. Indeed, many Israelis in the peace movement would support them. I sincerely wish they will turn their position of power in Gaza into something of benefit to Palestinian society instead of continuing to wage a low level war with Israel on principle.

I blame them not only for making Islam look like a satanic death cult, but I also blame them for not now focusing on building up Gaza and providing some normalcy to the people. The eyes of the world are on Gaza. If Hamas's actions are any indication of what Israeli withdrawal accomplishes, who can expect Israel to withdraw from the West Bank were it is a much larger sacrifice from the Israeli point of view?

Hamas needs to think politically and pragmatically instead of continuing to lash out with no realistic purpose in hand. Many outsiders do not see the suffering of the Palestinians, true, but they DO see the rockets flying. Hamas has a serious image problem, and when you want support image is paramouint. When they show the world something other than Qassams and infighting with other Palestinian factions, maybe then their ultimate objectives will have more support.

The Americans wanted to have a free democratic election in Palistina. They got it but certain countries were not satisfied with the result. Well, regarding Hamas I agree more or less with Mimi but............point is: what are free elections are good for if they have to satisfy others needs and expectations? If people can not vote free, then it's not democratic. IF YOU DO NOT VOTE LIKE I WANT TO, YOU HAVE TO FACE SANCTIONS!. Whow is this what DEMOCRACY is about?
I do not think so.

I do know that I will offend many people by saying this (PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS PERSONALY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) but there would not be Hamas if there would not have been created a State of Israel. At least not the way it was done.

I do understand all Israelis voices now complaining and I do understand and accept your input.

I personally blame other people than the Jews and the Arabs for the existing conflict.

I do not agree with many of Hamas' actions, but that's not the point. Hamas was elected in a free demoratic election. Point blanc!

Take care and please do not get to mad.

We blame Hamas, rightly, for putting its' hatred of Israel ABOVE its' desire to help the Palestinian people.

I assume you haven't bothered to read the Hamas Charter?

Take a look at it. As I've noted in a few posts recently, the Charter makes it clear that only the destruction of Israel will suffice. The document is overflowing with the kind of classic anti semitism that was heard being expressed by Hitler and the Nazis.

Oh, hang on..... you agree with them... I forgot.

But your racism and Holocaust Denial aside, Hamas has not put the interests of the Palestinians as its' priority. All Hamas does is organise kassam rocket attacks which are killing Israeli people. And then people like you demand to know why Israel has to maintain such high security!

Israel is not 'torturing' anyone - provide proof of this or shut up.

MIMI makes some good points and I think that 'h' and Muslim By Choice support these; you guys can see that Israel cannot, with the best will in the world, decrease security while Hamas continues to kill innocent Israeli citizens.

Hamas is blamed based upon their actions. They have killed not only Israelis, but other Palestinians as well. They do not look for peace, only death. Hamas has the perfect position to step up and turn Gaza into a beautiful land and take away poverty, instead they have killed any Palestinian who has a voice against their horrible actions. Israel has been around for thousands of years. Hamas for barely any. Israel is not torturing palestinians, israel is defending its borders from terrorists who which to kill them, in this sense those terrorists make it worse for the Palestinians to be trusted.

Argh.

What silliness.

Basically, if I follow your argument correctly, you are saying that since the creation of Israel predates the creation of Hamas therefore Hamas is to be blameless for any action that it may take against Israel and its citizens.

So, for example, if a new terrorist organization would form tomorrow calling themselves, let's see , The Al Aksa's Martyr Brigade (assuming that name hasn't been taken yet... but it has) and then proceeds to blow themselves to bits in a Tel Aviv bus terminal taking with them innocent lives then they would also not be blamed according to your logic.

For the record, we blame Hamas because the actions it takes are terrorist actions. We blame Hamas because its very Charter is anti semitic and calls for the destruction of a viable democratic country. We blame Hamas because it indoctrinates young children into their warped view of life that it is considered noble to kill oneself if one takes Jews with them.

And I could go on.

So, now, Hamas, instead of doing the "suicide thing" since that has proven to be difficult as of late, is instead doing the "shoot the Kassam rockets thing" which, admittedly, is not as deadly as exploding oneself in a crowded market but it is still deadly enough to warrant a response from Israel. Do you actually DENY Israel the RIGHT to do something about it?

And for the record, Israel has not been "torturing Arabs" since 1948 unless you consider its very existence "torture". But that says more about you than anything Israel has actually done.

If the peace negotiation fail Hamas will have the upper hand in Palestine. Real peace can only stop Hamas.
