my husband lives in italy and i live in uk i am british citzen and he is a ghanaian living in italy he has indefinate leave as resident in italy but we both want to live in uk as i have a sick mum who i have carers to look after but need to be around as i am the only sibling who can help attend to needs for her care.
now the government is introducing this points based system i have a few concerns although i have been researching about it. my husband is in full time work and is contracted in a textile factory my question is

what is the points system about?

who applies to?

will we be able to still do spouse visa?

will he have to take an english test although i am not sure its in action yet?

my partner does speak fluent and writes english he has a certificate in health and safety and his job that he does. i just want some honest advice and people who know bout this please.

he has been living in italy nearly 5yrs but doesnt want the citzenship as he is coming to uk.

this message goes out to the people that are answering with negative feedback i am not looking for that so please keep your opinions to yourself you enjoy going living in other mans country but when its ur own he intend to be narrow minded and i dont appreciate to hear it thank you

You have asked a similar question before.Should you care for your Mum so much then you could all live together in Ghana.I dont beleive one word of what you say you are trying to buck the system and your pleadings will fall on deaf ears.

Um, with Italian citizenship he would be able to live and work in the UK just like any other Italian. If he qualifies there, then that could be the simplest way for him to move over.
