I agree with you! I don't think we are getting any where at all in debating and picking on one another. To the Evolutionists I say give the Creation people some slack! Much of are argument is from faith, which isn't very debatable.
Furthermore,Christians are dealing with certain concepts, like God, that aren't readily measurable in a laboratory. There is no way we can prove God to you in a way you can see, hear, feel, and touch. We are defending our deeply held beliefs,. We aren't going to loose our faith so stop trying to make us see the truth as you see it. Stop calling Christians dumb. Accept the fact that that a lot of creationist people are just as smart as you are but we just maintain a different belief system. We are not harming you. You know what you know and leave it at that! It doesn't help your case in the eyes of thoughtful people, and it doesn't contribute to a credible debate. We both must learn respectful tolerance.
My source below is for the Christians. Earthy people just say "What go's around comes around."

We cannot get along because we think we are separate individuals. We are physically separate, we each have our own bodies, but we are not individuals inwardly. Are we?

We are all programmed, our minds are conditioned to repeat, repeat, repeat... we are trained by the use of the carrot and the stick to behave like the others, but we can't.

And so we have become, not independent, not individuals, but replicas of what society, our parents and the economic, political, military, religious system has shaped us to be, soldiers, warriors for this religious faith or that one, this economic system or that one, this family or that family, this race or that race. We pile up money and yearn for social status.

When we look deeply into that we see that we are incapable of change, we are driven by our own self interests and so everyone else naturally becomes our competitor.

We repeat endlessly the same beliefs, the same dogma but are incapable of facing the fact that we do that. We like to think of ourselves as unique and that there is a celestial dictator watching over us and that we have a personal relationship with it. Surely this is the height of delusion.

If we were free of these inward conclusions we would naturally see others just as we see ourselves and would respect, not the beliefs which are absurd, but the human being.

I try my best to get along with everyone. I agree that there is a lot of name calling and the like. Just shows that some people can think beyond their beliefs just long enough to give a reasonable response. :-)

My question is: why do atheists care what other people believe? If someone was truly atheist, don't you think they would be completely indifferent on the matter? I mean, if they truly believed the debate was plain silly, you would think they would simply pat us on the head, and walk away with indifference. But they don't do that. They hang around, and hurl insult after insult, and make fun. That's not the actions of someone who thinks the idea of God is silly. That's the action of someone who is in fear.

"the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead".

All dead = extinction, not salvation

can we move on, from extinction to salvation,
in the before/after bc/ad shew about law/grace

it's been AD--> for over 2000 yrs now
why do ppl still "draw back" <-- to BC;
if it's as a dog turned to his own vomit?

People of faith want the rest of us to believe like they do. They will use brainwashing, political process, or war to do so. The freedom to practice any religion you want must include freedom from religion and the separation of religion and government.

Anyone with a belief structure that cannot be substantiated with evidence (like all Abrahamic systems) who also votes is doing enough damage to require challenging.

No...
Duh...
If you want everybody to be kind and passive go to the bullfighting section. This is the religion and spirituality section. If everybody got along...well that would just be...horrible....
