Wintery mix is snow and freezing rain. The freezing rain is the worst part. You have 4 wheel drive, but all cars have 4 wheel brakes. You want to be very careful when stopping and starting, and travel at a lower than normal speed. You also want to allow much more time to stop!

Go during the day, the temperature will fall in the evening and make the chance of icy roads worse.

Wintery mix would the best to drive it as apposed to a freezing rain.

Rainy weather is always the safest to drive in when it comes to just milling around in town, (not on motorways). Mabie you could look in to getting a set of deep treaded tyres for the ice and snow. That is the safest way.
