To who? Zeus, Ra, Allah, Bible God?

No. You see, prayer is completely pointless. It's never been shown to have the slightest effect ever, so how could I possibly think that my doing it in those circumstances would be the first time it did?
What did Todd Beamer reportedly say over the phone on Flight 93? Was it "Let's pray"? I seem to remember he thought the most effective course of action was to actually DO something.

I would not pray (I don't know any entity to pray to) but I cannot tell you what I would actually do. I also don't consider this situation worth worrying about. I'm a sort of a stoic. When there is nothing I can do, I do nothing. But in most cases, there are things you can do.

No. If there were a loving caring god that had the power to do anything and he does not bother to use just a little teeny bit of his power to stop whatever the problem is with this plane why would I pray to him? There is no ''god'' and if there were the evidence of that ''god'' having the attributes and power that xtians think ''he'' has are zero.

Yep. I'd pray to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

I would not. First I would try to think of a way I could get a message to my family or friends. Then I would be comforting those around me since I am unafraid of death, and most religious are still afraid of death to some degree. I would like to be the brave one who could comfort others even in the face of death.

The old "no atheists in foxholes" argument.
As false as it is repeated.
I myself almost died of meningitis in 2003. At NO time did I ever waste a second wondering what an imaginary sky pixie would think of me or my life.
What I did though, was make sure my legal affairs were in order and that all my friends and family had farewell messages in case I did die.
I still have them tucked away someplace safe.

No, I'm not going to waste the last five minutes of my life. I'd use the time to write my husband a note telling him how much I love him and hope that the piece of paper survived the crash intact.

I would probably consider it a waste of my remaining moments. If my husband were there with me or another loved one I would focus on them, holding their hand, kissing them, etc... If not I would spend my last moments either holding dear memories in my mind or using a chant silently in my mind to steady myself if I were afraid. The chant thing may sound silly but it is a way of focusing your mind and redirecting your thoughts if they are unhelpful. Nothing superstitious or supernatural.

No. If the plane was doomed then I'd just sit there quietly and wait... That, or I'd cry my eyes out.

No, I would not. I have spent enough time in my life doing useless and pointless things (Like answering your question, for example) I would likely call my friends and family quickly and tell them how important they were to me.
