My wife bought a Spider-man character tin last night. Baked a cake in it and let it cool overnight in the refrigerator.

Now we can't remove the cake!

Before she poured the batter she greased the bottom and then sprinkled it with flour.

Any tips?

Refrigerated it?!?!? THAT'S the problem!

Maybe you can let it come to room temp and see if it'll come out then.

NEXT TIME: cool about 15 min in the pan THEN turn it out onto your platter.

She should have taken it out of the pan after 10 minutes and not put it in the fridge to cool overnight in the pan. She could try putting it back in a warm oven to for a few minutes to soften the grease in the pan (if there is any left) then see if it comes out when she flips the pan over. If that doesn't work then she will have to bake another one.

After baking a cake you should let it cool at room temperature until you can touch the pan or for atleast 10-15 minutes. Then you want to flip the pan over to get the cake out to let it cool completely. You should never let it cool overnight or completely in the pan, especially in the refridgerator.

Well after going around the edges of the cake with a knife... I'd flip it over and try and hit the bottom of it so it flops out onto the counter.

The sides should have been greased and floured too. Maybe you can take a butter knife and scrape around the sides, then pop it onto the dish you will be using.

Use oiled aluminum foil as a liner next time, I promise it won't stick and you'll be very satisfied.

I would just say flip it hard on a hard counter top and see if it will pop out.
