i normally wear slacks. its about 14 degree f outside. should i wear a dress and tights to impress him or just the ppants? i dunno if the dress would be stupid in the snow/cold weather. its not snowing now.. but theres snow from yesterday. thanks :)

Um. It's YOUR church. It's YOUR body. It's YOUR life and it's none of his f**king business.
Now I'm no longer a Christian or anything...buuuut I'm pretty sure that your god would prefer you to be in church, comfortable and warm than freezing just to appease your b/f idea of what you "should" look like. Church is about worship and community - not about dressing up and putting on airs. If he's so superficial that he values that more than the religious experience that you are going there to share, then his heart is not in the right place. If he gives you attitude tell him that you'll pray for him. ;P

well, i have the same thing in my church. we all dress casually, and sometimes someone will be dressy. some ppl think that you need to dress up when you go to church. but thats not what church is about. its up to you what YOU wear, first of all, NOT your bf. and if its cold and snowy, and dress would be stupid.
if you really wish to impress him, and letting him tell you what to wear is the only way, then maybe he's not that great of a guy

I say just wear pants. A dress in the winter??? I am not sure where you live but for me here in Michigan the winters are freezing and piled in snow. I say you just wear a dress and explain it to your bf. He'll understand if he loves you that much.

1st tell your bf that God doesn't care what you wear to church. 2nd tell him given the yesterday's weather and current temp it is not practical to wear a dress. If he doesn't understand that then tell him its time for him to find a new gf.
It is not how you dress but how you act that will get you into heaven, believer or not, church goer or not.

I think a pair of slacks are good. Its cold out and with snow. I think your bf will understand.

What I would tell my bf is that I don't feel too comfortable about wearing a dress at this time but I would for you on Christmas for it is a perfect time to get really dressy.

Where what you want to wear....He might get it into his head that it's okay to tell you what to wear...but it shouldn't be.
I wear slacks to church..as long as you're dressed as decently as you can..God just wants you there..he's not looking at what you're wearing.

The tights keep you lot warmer if you get a thick or made with wool ones, just layer yourself and you and your bf both can be happy, regarding rest of the crowd they can appreciate you dress up, and may be they will start dresssing up too. Be a trendsetter. :)
