Hypothetically if the really old liberals at the Supreme court level kick the bucket (like Steven, who is 87) and someone like Thomas or Alito replaced them, would you consider moving out of the country?

Have already considered it. I am ashamed to say. I don't want to live in what could prove to be a religious theocracy.

Edit: I am very political and follow the happenings of our nations politics fiercely. I belong to two groups:

My stance on politics and religion force me to follow as closely and in depth as humanly possible.

I've already considered it more than once and that is likely because I'd always have somewhere to go without difficulty if I did. My husband is a citizen of the U.K. and we've considered off an on since we've been married about moving there. My husband is a liberal christian who holds no love for the extreme conservative republicans of this country and I don't doubt that probably in the next ten - twenty years I will be living overseas.

I follow politics somewhat but I don't like where half the country seems to be going. I'd rather move to the U.K where you have some options who have a chance of winning.

I have to agree with J H above; if "that woman" wins, I will be sorely tempted to leave the country. Problem is, I just moved to St. Louis less than a year ago, and I don't really want to move again. So . . . oh, but it's just unthinkable!!!

I have been considering it for a while now. I'm just not sure where to relocate to. I've had enough of the bs in this country. Our founding fathers gave us a Republic, not a democracy, and we have lost it. We stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting our Republic back. I know our founding fathers are not just rolling in their graves, they are trying to come back and whoop the collective asses of those that have ruined this country.
For those that think there will be a revolution, forget it.

I will admit that the thought has crossed my mind, fleetingly, then I brushed the nasty little thought away. I would not leave, to leave would be giving up. This is my country too, and I swore an oath to protect it from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

I am an American.

I believe in the power of the people and our vote.

We must get the ignorant fundies out of our government.

I would love to live in a country where there is no discrimination because of your religion or lack of it. Where is this country?
