Well, thats not exactly true.
Today (Biblically speaking) we live in the 'age of grace' or church age. Jesus is the only way to get to heaven-this is true. If you die today without Jesus you automatically go to hell. This is the task at hand for the Christian-tell everyone-its our job. The gospel message is being spread to every country on this planet. Yet there are some who have not yet heard of Jesus (or a convincing presentation of the gospel), those people are under a different grace than the rest of us. It is the same for those who lived and died before Jesus was born. God will make sure that no one goes to hell that does not deserve it. That does not mean that we can play games with God-you will always lose. God will show himself to everyone who never heard of Jesus. He gives every human a chance to accept or reject Him. Even the mentally challenged and the very young-God has a just way to handle any situation. Don't worry about those people, God has it covered.
So, your problem is -what do you think? What do you do with Jesus? Accept or reject?

Salam
The Line was drawn by a fine man a King named King Nexus the 3rd and he drew a line long time ago on the ground and showed you all how to step into the light again. You cut his head off and did the same with John the Baptist. That is why those before and after had to come and keep showing you that very thin line of differance. It was that King was the first one that ever helped Islam when their own people wanted to kill them, it was christians that helped them first surely we all have lost the way long time ago. Muslims esspecially have to come down off their understanding and understand the Lord did make many 313+ prophets and 1400+ messengers and there is no more after Muhammed SAW other than those slaves of the Lord that keep showing the message that was and is till the final day. Even after we go, another will come and more and more. So choose this world over the other and barter your guidance for error surely you where never guided and your silver and gold will never be taken with you to heaven.... but it will keep the fuel burning in hellfire!

I don't believe there is anyone alive who has not heard about some kind of god. Now, the Bible says that there are those who, by nature, fulfill the commands of God and will, thus, NOT be condemned to Hell. Right and wrong are ingrained within each person, as God said He"lights every man that comes into the world". Whether a person chooses to do what he knows is right or goes along with evil within the crowd or his/her society will determine his/her eternal destiny.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
God will reveal himself to any who truly seek him.Even the one who has never heard of him. Now also we know that God will do the right thing in any situation including your supposed good man. There is no such thing as a good man. Now you Bryce have heard of God . What excuse will you give God that you did not believe ? Come to Christ... Merry Christmas.

Come on, if they have not heard of God or Jesus, no they are not condemned to hell. I am a Christian and I have never heard one preacher that is a real Christian or read in the Bible that this is so. Watch out who you talk to who says they are a Christian......

Hell (or Heaven) for man is God's call on Judgement Day; not mankind now. Man is a false god; (Gen. 3:5-6, Psalms 82:6, John 10:34).

There are many "factions" within the Christian community and the nuances of "religion" are deep and pervasive. Your argument has merit and it's not just for unschooled people. How about infants? They have never heard "the Word" either. Are they going to hell?
Here's the answer I got many years ago and I think I'll go with it. Scripture tells us that when we die we will come before the Judgment Seat of Christ. We will come before Him fully adult and fully aware. We are told that we are to make the decision of our Savior on this earth, in this life, but that does not allow for the innocent and ignorant. How about, as an adult with conscious thought - you are told about Jesus Christ and you make your decision - now. As anything else - you will be asked in front of the Judge to make that eternity decision.
I like it. It makes sense. It fills in the blanks. I've made my decision.

All people are accountable to God whether they have “heard about Him” or not. The Bible tells us that God has clearly revealed Himself in nature (Romans 1:20) and in the hearts of people (Ecclesiastes 3:11). The problem is that the human race is sinful; we all reject this knowledge of God and rebel against Him (Romans 1:21-23). Apart from God's grace, God would give us over to the sinful desires of our hearts, allowing us to discover how useless and miserable life is apart from Him. This He does for those who reject Him (Romans 1:24-32).
In reality, it is not that some people have not heard about God. Rather, the problem is that they have rejected what they have heard and what is readily seen in nature. Deuteronomy 4:29 proclaims, “But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.” This verse teaches an important principle: everyone who truly seeks after God will find Him. If a person truly desires to know God, God will make Himself known.
The problem is, “there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God” (Romans 3:11). People reject the knowledge of God that is present in nature and in their own heart, and instead decide to worship a “god” of their own creation.

If a single man is allowed to enter into heaven, this man will be the first one. He is a white paper without any spot. He followed the greatest religion of the earth which is still unwritten, pure and unpolluted.

People are only held accountable to the light they have.
From Luke Chapter 12
47And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
From John Chapter 9
40And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
41Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
There are other verses that imply the same thing, but I don't want to bore you with LONG cut and paste segments.
So instead of wondering about those who don't have the light, I suggest you wonder about yourself, because you obviously have been exposed to the truth.
