and did hundreds of hours of Bible study. Although that all helped turn me into an atheist, I do have a pretty good understanding of where the Christian mindset lies.

Now, would you be willing - in the spirit of understanding and learning - to listen to at least a few minutes of four prominent atheists and give your feedback:

if not, I will understand that this exercise could threaten your religious conviction.

Thanks (and yes, that IS in the form of a question, Alex!)

I only had time to watch about nine minutes, but if I get a chance to later, I will watch the rest.

I am a Christian, and I am not one of those whiny babies that they are saying Christians are. I don't really know any Christians who act like that, either.

As mean as it sounds, I would just like to point out that to me they sound a tad arrogant.

(I will watch the rest later and edit this and tell you what I think of it)

I didn't take the time to listen to the whole thing. I listened to about six minutes of it. I must say as a Christian I don't take offense by what an Atheist says under these circumstances. The guy who was to my right was quite reasonable. It take a mature person not to take things personally both Christian and Atheist. I am not speaking for any other group. I do however feel a sadness when people deny my God. This is only because I feel this is their loss. I am passionate about Jesus. But I am not afraid to hear what others have to say and reason with them.

There are lots of children who are raised Christian but eventually turn Atheists. Many non Christians children are also converted later in life. I don't know what is the general trend in the world. I see from lots of question being asked about "why good people don't go to heaven" in Christian view, that there much misunderstanding of Christianity.

So there much misunderstanding of Christianity by Christians and non (or former) Christians. One of the speaker immediately called religious people "superstitious". You can call that "close minded" or traditional or "conservative" Atheists view (conservative as in what Atheists traditionally believe).

I've found most people (on both sides) are not really interested in listening to the other side. Probably why people convert at the lowest point in their life - because that what it takes to really try and search for some truth.

I would watch it later, but having live in NYC since 1972 (and gone to college here), I don't think I'll hear anything new.

Good Luck

P.S. Christianity is often growing in poor and undeveloped country. Funny how when God called for an alter to be made in OT, he specified that NO cut (no polished) stones be used. When he called out his disciples, he called them out mostly from the lowly. In one of the persons in Jesus' genealogy, it is a woman who had to sleep with her father in law to get pregnant (acting as a prostitute). What does this all mean? Why doesn't our God call only Tom Cruises of the world?

ya i will, and you're gonna get a mouthful back.

That had to be the most mundane, annoying, uninteresting and completely irrelevant to anything...

They just used what other Christians have said and discussed that and there are no Christians out there that have all if any of the answers so those 2 hours were a complete waste.

They brought back a bunch of old and tired arguments as well.

None of them are in a position to explain right from wrong let alone decide if God is real or a "myth", that is unavoidable.

They mentioned how many Christians have this "persecution complex" and is that really a big fukkin surprise? These men go out of their way to humiliate, demean and argue that every Christian has wasted their life when the Christians never asked for it, nor even needed to hear it, so is it a big surprise that Christians just ignore what they say then? Do they really think they are doing a service by doing this? That has got to be the most retarded thing i've ever heard. They don't NEED to argue, they don't NEED to tell us they think our faith is garbage, they don't NEED to try and disprove everything related to religion... so that must mean they are only doing this for their selfish, ego satisfying, money mongering arrogance. They don't care who they hurt or insult, that's horrible... these are really pathetic men and don't even assume for a second that i'm ranting because what i'm saying is what i've noticed about all atheists and none fo you seem to realize that you are doing this for your own personal satisfaction and pleasure to degrade those who you believe are below you just to make you feel OH SO SPECIAL.

Good luck buddy, and if we're ever face to face you better hope to God.......

just hope to God.

I only watched 10 minutes...but then again I already agree with them. I found it interesting that they mentioned superstition and various insults. It's so true. You tell someone throwing salt over there shoulder, or stepping on cracks is pointless. They usually will shrug it off. You say to them that wearing a cross around their neck is pointless you begin to receive a sermon on how you are going to burn in hell for your insolence. I have believed for a long while that along with God being a myth so is freedom of speech. It has been masked with the idea of political correctness. Being polite is more important then free expression. Until that changes nothing will change.

i grew to become right into a Christian for 14 years of my existence. i'm now a heathen. it is what I even have discovered with reference to the monotheistic wilderness gods from being Christian see you later; they provide the impact of being to accept as true with the guy giving the speech They Hate troublesome artwork They Hate living They Hate gay human beings They despise non monotheistic religions they are grasping conceited delicate Narcissistic Racist it is the reason I left. I felt that if God grew to become into an indignant guy telling me who to Hate, and not have intercourse with, then there grew to become into no think approximately staying In christianity.

It's as difficult to prove there's a God as it is to prove there isn't. Agnostic, (which essentially means I don't know), is really the better way to go.

Go to this website and scroll down and ponder the statements there.

I think you would really enjoy the Yahoo group FThumor. It's a group for free thinkers and humanists and such with a sense of humor. It's really informative and fun and you'll be in the company of people who've been through the same realizations as you. Scroll through some of the messages and you'll see.

I assume you presently know what a test is. Assume Satan hears what God offers man. Satan provides a 'test'. In a test, (simple form) one passes the test or fails the test.
Test; (two parts) first part; One true or false question Satan offers; the Old testament is Genesis-Malachi. If man 'accepts that premise, in effect his answer is true. (I currently say; it does exist but it is false.
Part two (fill in the blank) if the scriptural old testament is not Genesis-Malachi, then what is it? (Satan leaves one to 'fill in the blank' currently). It is the law of Moses (synonym 2 Cor. 3:13-14 KJV). 2 or more Witnesses (Matt. 18:16, 2 Cor.13:1) include Joshua, David, Solomon, Nehemiah, Malachi,Jesus,Paul, and otheres .
There are more tests also. I will stop here for now though.

I look forward to the stampede of Christians that are going to look at this in the spirit of fair play. After all, if God is real, he could stand an honest examination. Real things have nothing to fear from a few questions.

Thanks!

I actually don't have the wherewithal or desire to watch the video, but I would like to say this:

Growing up I listened to countless teachings in my school and home...and did hundreds of hours of evolution and humanistic study. Although that all helped turn me into an Christian (many years later as an adult), I do have a pretty good understanding of where the Atheist mindset lies.

Thanks.
