The US has vowed to send its young men to fight and die for Israel so why do they not put a stake in fighting terrorism? Why as in Viet Nam does the US have to suffer with the loss of its young men? Please do not tell me we are a superpower and are responsible to be the worlds policeman.

So, Israelis youths are not dying in Iraq because it might offend their enemies if they go into combat, so American youth must bear the burden and die in their place. I was drafted in 68 at 19 and served as a infantryman with the 101st Abn Div and I while i was sacrificing life and limb I saw many Vietnamese draft age youth going to universities. I asked myself why am I 10,000 miles away from home with the chance of dying while these people could also be making the ultimate sacrifice. Many Vietnamese soldiers did die in combat but many of the privileged were in school sort of like they did in America.

we are in Iraq parlty because the Iraq threat to Israel so why should they not ber part of the burden? If they are afraid they will offend their muslim neighbors then they should run up the white flag now and surrender. all i am saying is that not one more American should die defending Israel until they have shown they are willing to assist american in combat.

conrange: if Israel is not willing to take a chance then we should not send Americans to die in place of their youth. I was drafte in 68 and served as a infantryman with the 101st Abn 11b10. Have you ever been in combat, I doubt it or placed people in a body bag like it did in 68? I believe the US backing Israel has led to the 911 bombing.

Israel exists only to serve Israel.
They won't help, but they will cry for help.

A year before you were with the 101st, many Israeli troops died in the Six Day War, in 1967.
More young Israeli men died in the Yom Kippur War of 1973.
Israel was also attacked by Iraqi Scud missiles in 1991, but was not allowed to retaliate.
BTW. Al-Qaeda stated that the 9/11 attacks were due to the western presence in Saudi Arabia, not Israel. That presence stemmed from the liberation of Kuwait, again nothing to do with Israel.
>To answer your question: During those wars that Israel fought, no American troops were sent in. The only American causalties occurred when the Israelis attacked USS Liberty during the Six Day War in 1967.
The United States has pledged support for Israel since we recognized them as a nation-state in 1948, but we have fought no wars for them.

destabilize extra you propose? Dozens of folk die in iraq a week, you communicate this to be good? As for signing up for the militia, evaluate why your going first. Are you going to guard the rustic, or be a mercenary for the oil companys? This occupation is only approximately oil. Its approximately money. in case you wanna circulate to iraq and threat getting shot at so wealthy people can get richer, choose for it, yet do not circulate thinking your saving the international or something of that nature. I dont decide on from now on people killed or maimed in order that the government can cope with them horribly while they get lower back to the states and cant get perfect well being care.

What a dumb troll question, do you realise that if Israel was to side with the USA in Iraq it would unite all the Arab countries into an all-out Jihad against the U.S. and West, you are very dumb if you don't understand Israel's position in that part of the world, as the last time I looked Israel was not part of N.A.T.O.
Where have the U.S. put in in writing including the words "to send its young men to fight and die for Israel"?
Israel is handling its own terrorist problem with the Israeli DEFENCE FORCE.
Try doing a little research before you post something that makes you look as intelligent as a sack of bricks!!!

Israel is surrounded by enemies...they have enough problems already. Besides, can you imagine a bunch of Israeli soldiers marching down the street in an Islamic country like Iraq? That would kick of a war of its own!

To be perfectly honest they have not been invited. If they tried to go we would tell them to please stay out of it. The last thing that we need in Iraq is Israeli soldiers walking down the street in Baghdad. What ever support we have with the Iraqis would be gone 10 seconds after someone reported that. Most of the Middle East loathes Israel. If they sent soldiers to Iraq we would have 100 times as much violence as we do now.

Maybe because there is a country called IRAN that is beween Israel and IRAQ, besides we don't need thier help in this .. it would only complicate things more than they are. We just need to pull our own troops out right now and fight with remote controlled weapons that can be operated from 1000 of miles away with a playstation controller and a joystick

well the american men (and possible a few women) who do this aren't forced as far as i know they have a choice whether to be in the army or not, and some choice over where they are stationed. Maybe Israel has other problems or something

if israel were to become directly involved every muslim nation in the area would have no choice but to join in an attack both israel and america...our "allies" would instantly become our enemies and the chance of gaining any success in the region would fly out the window..

Israeli involvement in Iraq would only provoke other Arab nations to attack Israel. This is why Israeli military commitment to Iraq was not sought in either of the Iraq wars.

For more or less obvious reasons, the U.S. does not want to have Israeli soldiers identifiable there.
That does not mean that Israeli soldiers are not carrying out covert missions, though.
