Just call the PD that issued the tickets, explain the situation, and ask where you are supposed to park.

Perhaps it was a new officer who issued the summons and was unfamiliar with your street being an off street parking street.

Worst case, take pictures of your car, the cars in general, the street sign, and any signage indicating it is an off street parking street. Plead not guilty to the parking ticket and, when you get your court date, bring those pictures with you in support of your position.

Just like anything else, snow-removal routes cannot be conceived and enforced in a moment's notice. In order for this to have been a valid citation, the ordinance declaring that street to be a snow-removal route must have been made known to the general public well before the snow began falling.

Demand to know exactly what your local yokels had done to make it generally known to you.

I once lived in a city where they tried to ticket a lot of my neighbors for something similar, but I remembered that the ordinance only called for leaving the center lanes clear of parked vehicles, not the entire street.

So, all my neighbors got off.

(and the stupid cop who wrote all those tickets was very strongly encouraged to move elsewhere, which he did, not long thereafter).

Park a block or 2 away...just because it is cold and snowing you can not break the law...

Check with you local law enforcment and see if there was any ordience about snow removal. If not then you may have a case to fight. Also see when and if the ord. went into effect. ie when snow fell, certian hrs, what have you.
