Maybe faster than older men. I would have to say younger men (in my case) fall harder, deeper and faster than most young women. As I have gotten older and more experienced and worldly I have become jaded to the promise of true love.

Across the gender board, I don't believe in the notion that women fall in love faster and harder than men. I know some men who do fall faster and harder than the women they go for, and women who fall faster and harder than men. It really depends on where the heart of the person is and how their love interest have impressed their lives upon them.
Being a female and a believer in love myself, I can only appear to be biased here and believe in the possibility of how hard or not a person in love falls.

Women and men are different in many things. However studies have revealed that they might fall in love at the same pace. It has to do with evolution. When both are attracted, the five senses are activated, and at the same time production of several hormones is increased. You do not have to do anything. However, staying in love is very different. Women stay in love longer.

No, but men conceal all feelings--including pain--much better than women. This is a general trend in mammals, not just humans, and it's linked to self preservation. Showing weakness turns you into prey.

I don't know. My brother fell hard for his wife the very first time he saw her, and she did not notice him. (Married 25 years now.)
I think it is both genders, and some of us are more predisposed to the notion of being in love, rather than it hitting us the way it hit my brother. We search, we find or think we find love and then are disappointed. Or, suddenly, love rushes over us when we least expect it.

I've seen it go both ways. I think some men tend to be more hurt by a love that goes wrong - women are hurt, but they bounce back... but like I said, it goes both ways.

most women are inlove w/the idea of falling in love... but i guess women are just more expressive of how much they love their partner so it seems that we fall in love harder than men, but in reality, i believe that both men and women fall inlove the same way... =)
