i heard some engine have a like plug on the side of the engine could this be why? i have a 1990 dodge d150 with a slant 6.

...and stop putting water in it...Water expands when it freezes and cracks engine blocks. Put the right mix of water and anti-freeze in it... If its just the freeze plug you still have a chance....

all cars have whats known as freeze plugs in them,or sometimes their called expansion plugs,if one has went bad or rusted out or popped out from being cold that's why your loosing all your coolant,you could also have a cracked block causing this,you,ll have to find out exactly where its coming from in order to know for sure whats causing it,i hope its not the block cracked,a freeze plus is easy to replace on those,good luck with it.

You have a leak. It could be anything. A cracked block or cracked head is a possibility. So is a leaking hose.
