Quran does not contradicts big bang theory.
This verse is being seen as supportive to big bang theory.
021.030 Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
As per threory of evolution, Quran seems to be contradicting only in case of human being not animals. Some people tried to reconcile between Islam and theory of evolution also. In short we do not have any problem if animals are product of evolution but not Adam.

I think of it as the 2-God theory. Some people need a god that's responsible for every single event in their lives. He gives neat, easy explanations that warrant, or invite, no scrutiny, e.g., "That the way I did it." Most importantly, he has a manual where you can look up how everything works and happens. That God's manual was written by primitive desert dwelling scribes makes it all the more "real" for them. This I call the followers of the little god. Others cannot reconcile the vastness and complexity of the universe without some guiding hand or principle. They generally laugh at the idea that God would violate the science arising out of one of His greatest creations - human intellect. And of course they cannot take the aforementioned scribbling of the camel guys as literal scientific truth. They have no problem with evolution, or with any other branch of science - indeed some of these believers are great contributors to the various theories. These I call the followers of the great god. I am a non-believer. But I've never had a problem with the believers of the great god - not even on things theological. And they see no controversy at all. Quite the contrary, they see the greatness of their god reflected in those theories and negated by the literalists.

Quran says Allah is the designer and creator of the Universe.
Big bang theory promotes the idea of chance. By chance there was a big bang and the earth and planets came into being. Which cannot be a fact. Because the world is so complext that it could not have come into being accidentally.
Everything fits in place and there are so many relationships, attraction, replusion and balancing required for this complex universe to survice.
The people who are bent upon proving the chance theory are
sons of devil. It is a Jewish conspiracy to disturb the beliefs of true Christians and true Muslims.

Theory of evolution is a theory .. it's not a proven fact ... it has missing links in it. So the Holy Quran does not support that.
But the Holy Quran supports big bang.

002.031 And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell me the names of these if ye are right."
020.114 High above all is God, the King, the Truth! Be not in haste with the Qur'an before its revelation to thee is completed, but say, "O my Lord! advance me in knowledge.
quran e kareem sura 2 and 20
everything is transcendental. the above suras teach us knowledge possibilities. humans will discover everything its due and right time. Allah has taught Prophet Adam a.s his names and Allahs names are for Muslim a source of information and knowledge. in sura 20, Prophet Muhammad s.a.w prayed, "RABBE ZIDNE ILLMA" ("O my Lord! advance me in knowledge). and this is the highest form of knowledge when one makes Sajda and one knows what it is. Everything has his time and in Allah's name everything is stored. Metaphorically speaking (and in reality possible), 40 camels can fit through a needle hole. As an analogy, have a look at ur own USB stick, how so much info. can be stored.(BTW, even the inventor of the USB can't explain how its possible) Anyhow, i wont go in details here, if u want to understand the explanation in the views of monotheism, then study contemplation and gnostic. go inside urself where googlelisation cant help. (contemplation and gnostic = jasb + irfan). i hope u find ur answer in an associative sense. as u know, quran is not like a temporary constitution of most countries. its an eternal book and for everyone.)AL HAMD U LIL LAH HE RAB AL AA MEEN

Yeah, except for that Turkish fool Harun Yahya making so much money off of his junk science books. He is sending, large expensive copies of beautifully illustrated books to university professors in the USA, arguing for creationism.
My philosophy professor friend showed me her copy and I marvelled at the art work, but the writing was so childish.
I know many look to the Koran and find what they want about science and evolution, just as many Christians do with the Bible. But keep in mind, this is AFTER the theory of Darwin was presented and the theologians had to scramble in order to maintain control over believers as science was shoving aside myths for facts.
And, the man who posted the drdino website fails to mention that "Dr. Dino" (real name, Kent Hovind and no doctorate) is in federal prison on tax fraud charges. Hovind is a Christian clergyman with no scientific background.

The only thing holy, or set apart, by the Koran is that it is set apart for deception and evil. It is not from the Lord God.
