I am curious to know if anyone has ever attended the final interview for an immigrant visa into the U.S. (green card) and passed despite not having been able to satisfy all the requirements of the I-864.

Essentially, is there 100% chance that you will fail the final interview if you are unable to meet the I-864 requirements even to a small degree?

Anything can happen for the outcome of interview. Unfortunately, it is all depends on the immigration officer's decision. One IO can approve if it is small degree, at the same time, other IO can deny since you didn't meet the law requirement. Try to come up with other sources that can be added as best as you can until the interview, but be hopeful though. Good luck!

What requirements can't you fufill. It's all up to the immigration officer but the main reason why they do the immigration interviews is because they want to make sure Americans aren't bringing foreigners to the US just for green cards. As long as your sponsor can prove they can take care of you until you get your PR, if it's your husband, if you have enough proof that you're together for love, you'll be ok.
