They are named after James Brudenell, the 7th Earl of Cardigan who led the Charge of the Light Brigade in the Battle of Balaclava in the Crimean war. Interestingly, his boss, Lord Raglan, gave his name to the raglan sleeve.

I love cardigans! Does that make me an old grouch? Oh dear! Just to be even sadder, I would recommend them to ladies of a certain age who might suddenly feel hot for no reason - you can quickly slip off your cardie and feel much more comfortable.

This old grouch will tell you like it is...
Don't trust them cardigans -
They always hang out with each other, they eat smelly food and they're not Christians.

They normally have buttons, but sometimes zips, most of the time are made of a woolly type fabric and keep you warm! Pockets very handy for keeping your tissues in! And normally your grandads one has his dinner down the front!!

I couldn't live without my old pink Cardie. I throw it on if it's a bit chilly indoors and chuck it off if I get a bit warm. You must know what us menopausel woman are like.
Mind you I wouldn't be seen dead in it in public!
When I say, to my Partner "I am just going to get my Cardie" he thinks I am off to get a drink! Lol!

Well they keep you warm mostly but they are always in movies when a loved one gets.makes one for someone and is really embarrassing to wear as it may have an embarrassing picture on.
I try to stay away from them as i don't like them imo =)
Have a great Christmas!
