apparently it's cheaper than forcibly removing them.
& it's no real wonder we're becoming the worlds biggest criminal magnet,
we'll take in all-comers under these ridiculous human rights rules, we can't turn them away, mores the pity.
on their way, when they realise we're a push-over, are the good, bad & the down-right ugly,
then the UK tax-payers will set them up for life, back home.
AND all this for the price of a ticket,
a people-smuggling fee
or to stowaway on a lorry.
etc etc.
It's also common knowledge that out justice/prison system is in melt-down, it's never been a better time to invade the lame/lax/useless UK................

This is a classic example of the 'carrot and stick' approach. Look through the postings on this forum, and you would agree that asylum is a big issue for many, if not a particular group in our society.
We all want something done about asylum. The government is taking a great first step in addressing this by managing failed asylum concerns through deportation and hand-outs. Small price to pay as the alternative involves a higher financial cost for the tax-payer.
We must be supportive of the government in this.

This can give people a chance to survive and better themselves in their own country, so I think it's good.
And although I'm sorry for all the problems you've had, many asylum seekers live in a country where their life is endangered every day! Land mines, terrorists, corrupt military who rape and murder whenever they want. You say you went to a home because your parent died. In some countries if that happens you're on your own! There is no home. There is no Government to help you. You fight for your own food or die.
Your life was bad, but that's not a reason to have no compassion for others in a worse position!

I saw that the French were doing this too. It has a certain logic, but at the same time it makes the whole business of being an asylum seeker a more profitable enterprise. It is a win-win situation, in fact. Either you get to stay, with all manner of benefits, or you go home a rich man or woman, the envy of all the neighbours, who will no doubt aim to do likewise. I feel angry that we are forced to reward these people when there seems to be so little money to help our own people.

Yes, and this is only the tip of the iceberg, what we are not told is, The accurate figures of how many ?at what cost to us.?
Where else could this fiasco be.
but in the UK!!!
If any of us went to where they came from, would their government treat us as fairly,No guesses on the answer to that
This must qualify for the daftest thing any British government has ever come up with, we have our own and these handouts are made to asylum failures, Disgraceful.

Yes that's true. But would you rather them stop here then? And how would you feel if you've travelled across the world from your war torn homeland to save your own life, you don't know how the rest of your relatives are whom you leave, some of them will die, or be dreadfully treated. Then you get sent back and you have to rebuild your life from scratch. My dear, please have some compassion. That's the trouble with people who have been born and brought up in a 'soft' country, you don't know how lucky you are. You can do what the hell you like. You have absolutely no idea of life in some of these countries. I mean soldiers get this post traumatic stress, so how do you think people get on who live this all of their lives?

Firstly, I take everything i read in the papers with a pinch of salt nowadays! but if that's true, then that's just great. (massive amount of sarcasm, there, by the way.) I have my own small business i'm trying to get off the ground & i'd love em to just give me 4 grand! It's obviously more important to make foreign countries successful & profitable than this one. It doesn't do anything to improve britain's morale, does it?

£4000 is a big savings on the benefits system in the long run, however the government has to get real and realise that £4000 here is worth an awfully lot more in other countries. this is an incentive in itself just to actually get into this country.

We should reclaim the money from all the countries that allowed them to pass through to get here, If someone comes from Somalia they pass through about 10 different countries, no one stops them as they know the UK is their destination of choice.
