In the 21st century, ignorant people embrace this patently absurd and easily disprovable hoax. And this is an age where it would take 30 seconds to do Google the answer that it's a fraud (and mind you, the people who believe it are SITTING AT COMPUTERS). Is it any wonder then that making up some stories about some guy and then presenting them in a book to illiterate goat herders was so successful?

Religion seems to be just a simple study in human gullibility.

A Word Please: maybe you could read a little (yes, just a little). Say, Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion.

Congrats on your high IQ. You might try using it.

There are still many miracles done in the name of Jesus. Not as many by a long way as the early church, for sure. And there was a revival of miracles in the early 20th century, so miracles in centuries before that were relatively rare.

Eg listen to Randy Clark, Charles Ndifon and other interviews on sidroth.org

Some miracle ministries you can investigate and won't be disappointed:
Kathryn Kuhlmann
John G. Lake
Smith Wigglesworth

Currently:
Benny Hinn (he's maligned to be sure)
David Hogan, missionary to Aztec indians. They have done all sorts of miracles
Heidi and Roland Baker's church ministry teams in Mozambique
Reinhard Bonnke
Bill Johnson
Bill Prankard
Pastor Cho
Carlos Anacondia
Claudio Freidzon
There are doubtless 100s or 1000s more. I don't know a lot about catholics and orthodox but they also have people who understand aspects of healing ministry and operate in anointing and faith to bring healing. The Holy Spirit does the healing - all paid for by Jesus in effect.

How many people are willing to be TORTURED TO DEATH to protect the 'punch line' of their joke?

Your ignorance of this subject is SOOOOO colossal, that it astonishes in its depth, AND its breadth, yet you seem perfectly willing to approach an unfamiliar subject WITH AN OPEN MOUTH.......

Go and read a little (really, just a little). Say Josh McDowell's EVIDENCE THAT DEMANDS A VERDICT. It is possible you could even learn something.

But what do I know? I've only got a Master's degree from one of the top 10 schools in the world, and an IQ in the tepid 165 range!

What are you referring to when you say something is 'patently absurd and easily disprovable'? Your actual question or the other other question you linked to?

What studies did you do, that allow you to claim that 'some stories' where made up about 'some guy'? I'm not sure I understand your question.

Jews are experts at hoaxes. They've gotten better at it overtime.
