They raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in the Irish bars and Irish clubs (some by force and arm-breaking) to help "political prisoners and their families" instead of sending the money by Western Union they invested in old freighters with cargoes of assault rifles, ammunition, semtex explosives and r.p.g.s that fell of the back of a truck in Quadiffi land.

Nothing more dangerous than a drunk American-Irish descendant listening to "I Ran Away" Propaganda Machine.

Any surplus cash from the time of the "Troubles" was probably used to get the I.R.A. into the drug dealing business both North and South of the Border. (95% of all Irish drug dealing is connected to the former IRA organisation.)

While in Northern Ireland its split between the I.R.A. and Unionist Terror Group the U.V.F.

yes it did. I bet there werent many noraid collectors shaking their tins in New York and Boston on 9/11. The reason it wasnt banned is a lot of Americans view the IRA through rose tinted spectacles. Just like the viewed the Afgan rebels fighting the Soviet forces in Afganistan. They thought they were heroic freedom fighters. Right up until about 0845 on Tuesday September 11th 2001. And im willing to bet if the funds and supplies of arms were shut off suddenly, the IRA would turn just as quickly as the Mujahideen turned
