Do electronics typically go on sale after Christmas?

I'm specifically looking to buy a digital SLR camera and am wondering if prices will fall after Christmas. Thanks.

Generally yes. Electronics are a popular item at Christmas and often do drop shortly after.
I have found though that the best times for electronics are rigt after the Consumer Electronics shows in Chicago in Feb. and Las Vegas in Aug. This is when manuf. show off their new products to distributers. Shortly after the current models go on sale to make room for the new ones. Radio Shack has traditionally had a huge sale in Sept. and Oct. Other retailers do too, I just remember theirs especially because when they carried better products you could get great bargains.
