I have this question that's been playging me 4 days and i dont wanna be a bad cristian so i've been trying to ignore it, but i cant and now i think i'm gonna goes to hell.
If Jesus could walk on water, why didn't he enter the swimming at the olympics and win hands down? surely winning the gold medal in the olympics would have won him a lot of kudos, and he would have all the chicks hanging off of him?
Please pray for me...

If you are having a crisis of faith then there is probably a real reason for it, for one. Two, you have it all wrong and are looking at Jesus in a way that is the exact antithesis of what he stood for, never gain or medals, but He was said to have died for the sins of man. If you are thinking other wise, then maybe christianity isn't neccesarily for you? Also the translation is poor, he did not walk on the water, he walked beside the water, it was a different landscape then, essentially, he was walking in a swampy area, before it became desert.

I don't think Jesus was looking for that kind of praise, and I don't think he wanted chicks either. Besides, if he walked across the water wouldn't that be not swimming and he'd be labeled as a cheater? That would have jeopardized the whole religion.
...hey, wait. The Olympics didn't exist back then!

Because if he wanted chicks hanging off of him, he would have just snatched some rib bones out of his sausage fest of an entourage and made some women real quick. That's where we get women, I'm told.
Maybe he just couldn't walk on water. He probably couldn't even beat me at Guitar Hero. I'm the shiznit tho.

jesus was too busy hiding from herod and the rest of the jews to enter the olympics, bet he was a fast runner as well eh. stock up on some tanning cream you'll need it where your going, its hot down there
