I think they have no intentions of spoiling the celebration, they are just concerned about how these people are already using this special day for their own interest (money the culprit) Christians are just trying to teach or remind everybody , the true meaning of Christmas . This day is a day of Thanksgiving , and doesn`t mean that if you give anybody an expensive gift it would mean a Christmas already . Christmas comes deeper from the heart , means sharing of thoughts, concern for others , reminding them that they are loved, and no expensive gift matters as long as you are just there together , especially these Christmas. Merry Christmas to All!

Bad question. It is mainly christians that celebrate christmas. Celebrating implies a lively commercial market. May be some spiritualists spoke against the spiritual aspect being drowned by commercial spirit

The intent of Christmas celebration is the birth of Jesus. The original intent is to express thankfulness for Him being sent into the world for us. The gift-giving is a carry-over act of the gifts brought to his birth. The modern day act of giving (along with all the hustle/bustle) has almost completely overtaken the true meaning of being thankful. This is why some Christian groups are rebelling on commercialism, wanting the true meaning of Christmas brought forward again.

Why are you worried about it? It's not going to stop.
I'm a Christian and I don't really care one way or the other about the commercialism. I think most Christians don't care.
We know what its about and that doesn't stop us from celebrating the birth of Christ.
Merry Christmas

Because they are bored and like to annoy others, why else do they come knocking on my door and leave pamphlets of religious propaganda on my doorstep. You can only read the bible so long until you are filled with the need to knock on some stranger's door or annoy the sh%t out of others. Spoiling commerice is a form of annoyance.

Christians just want people to realize what the real meaning of Christmas is.

I love the commercialism of Christmas, lol. That day after thanksgiving shopping is the best!

Because they realise that if Christmas continues to be commercialised, movies like "Christmas with the Kranks" and "Fred Claus" will continue to be released causing the world to explode in a mass explosion of Christmas crappyness.

Everytime someone makes a generalzation about a group of people based on what a few people id in the popultion I always just answer "Can't we all just get along?".

There are a myriad of people with a myriad of different beliefs for every relgion and non-religion, any statement you make that trys to group an entire group of people to one act, one belief, one whatever you are just wrong. Wrong as Hell!!!!
