Genesis shows that Adam was almost 6000 years into the past. It does not set a date for the original creation of the first verse.
Carbon dating proves the earth to be very old.
The dinosaurs existed before the re-creation of the earth described in verse 2 and beyond.

Many people believe the world is between 4000 and 6000 years old. So evolution (dinosaurs, fossils, neanderthals etc.) is very difficult to reconcile with ancient beliefs.
So, either millions of believers can't be wrong OR they can't admit to being wrong, in spite of the evidence.

dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible in some way or another. The words/ things we have today are not written in the Bible AS IS. Example: In Ephesians 6: 1-3, it is written there that you should obey your mother and father in the Lord, it doesn't mean only your biological parents. they can also be the older people who guide you spiritually (your parents in faith). So, when it was written there that God had created animals, all the animals-extinct or still living-are included. Even dinosaurs, because that's how we classify them. Maybe God had decided to annihilate them because He knows that it will bring the destructon of mankind. God is an exact God. For more information, please ask Brother Eli Soriano at esoriano.wordpress.com. He knows everythng about the Bible.
People who don't believe in the authencity and the Bible itself are stupid. We've got a lot of facts that proves its authenticity.

Was the LochNess monster a remnant of the dinosaurs from Noah's time?
Some believe the Ark had rooms large enough for dinosaurs!
Maybe the dinosaurs were not as fearsome as modern men made them out to be!
Behemoth & Leviathan seem to indicate the presence of these large monsters during the time of Job.

Where did you read that God just got done creating earth? Earth has been here for billions of years. Man has been on earth for about 20 million years. Dinosaurs have been on earth for billions of years. Whoever told you 4000 years is a liar! I'm a Christain and Adam and Eve were here millions of years ago.
God created Dinosaurs for our benefit for our fuel and life. where do you think oil comes from?

Some fundamentalist morons reckon that they are the giants mentioned in genesis, and they co-existed with humans up to the flood. Just shows there is no idea so stupid and counter-evidential that you can't get some Xtian to believe it!

It means that the people who wrote the bible didn't know about dinosaurs.

Well I think they do. I'm a creationist. And think this is a young earth. I'm not restricted to learning from men in white coats though. Or funny school teachers who have never actually left school.

dinosaurs came way long ago before man.
we only knew of their existence when we found fossils in the layers of the earth where we get our oil from.
since biblical ppl did not drill for oil, they wouldn't have come across many fossils.
and if they did, they would just think it was one of god's doings.
i don't think they thought anyone was on earth before they were, so they wouldn't be looking for that explanation.
