Is it normal for a guy-friend to display good-manners and show an effort to be a gentleman for you?

for example..
always opening and holding doors..
providing small things before I even think of getting it myself..

It is expected that everyone use common courtesy---to enter a building and not see if anyone is behind you is rude--holding a door is common courtesy, At least try to show some respect for people. Any guy who doesn't try to be a gentleman is crude, obnoxious, rude, uneducated, snotty, and self absorbed. Anyone who tolerates this behavior needs a few lessons also.

Depends on the guy, do you notice if he is like that with other people? Are you thinking he *likes you* likes you?

I had a guy freind like that once, I fell hard, and he ended up breaking my heart. :(
