wat happens in double promotion

Double promotion is a primitive practice.A student who is considered to be very good in all subjects were allowed double promotion.....meaning , the student was allowed to go to 2 steps higher than the rest of his class mates.It hardly gave any advantage in reality.I don't think this is practised in any reputed school these days.

Hello I am glad to say that i got double promotion in school.I got it in I std. I just studied for about 5 to 6 monthsin std I,Seeing my marks and other activities they made me to study in class II from the next day . At the end of the year I was promoted to class III. But this took in the year 77 - 78. Nowadays I dont see such cases.
