I ran into my ex at the mall after like 4 years of no communications. After talking she asked me if I would like to out to dinner. I said I would have to check my schedual. What should I do?

We broke up because she moved to NYC. We just thought it would be better.

Don't go to dinner.
Re-book for a lunch or a coffee.
Have a think about why it didn't work. It might be a good opportunity to apologize and make amends.
If you really felt hurt and ill-treated by this girl, don't go. If you felt that you were at fault, then apologize.
If you felt that the two of you just grew and went your separate ways, then perhaps make the connection ... stay in touch (distantly).
You don't really want to be re-establishing a relationship unless you know what's broken and how to fix it ... and if both of you want to do that.

Thats a tough question. 4 yeasrs of no com must mean something horrifing happened to make you brake up. But If Im wrong, it wouldn't hurt to catch up with someone you shared a relationship with.
