Contact your local fire department. Most are part of the toys for tots program, and may be able to put you in touch with other services for her over the holiday.

I see that there are already some good answers. Your disability is for you, and it was never intended to enable you to support anyone else.

Why can't she go after child support from the father(s) of the children? The children wouldn't be here without someone to father them, and in our society, neither parent is expected to carry the full burden of providing for minor children. There are also AFDC (Assistance for Families with Dependent Children) programs in most, if not all states. There is also, at a bare minimum, general relief (basic welfare).

If she has a sudden death disease, you neither mentioned which disease it is, nor whether she could take steps to reduce or minimize her risk of dying from it.

If she quit her job, then she may have disqualified herself for unemployment, at least for a time. Is there any kind of retraining program available in your state for persons who are unable to continue in their jobs, although the usual pathway to retraining is for people who were injured on the job.

what is sudden death disease?

if your girlfriend has medical problems, she needs to see her doctor, and if she is disabled, perhaps she can collect social security or get State help.

she has to make the EFFORT to help herself in this matter... it seems to me you have your share of problems... she needs to take care of her own!

i am on disability and i can't get anything for my kids for christmas, either.. but i love them, and that is what counts.

hugs
