Not sure I understand the question? Liking yourself does not involve pain whatsoever. However if you do not like yourself, then I can see you would be in emotional and psychological pain. The first rule in this big global village is to first like yourself, because if you do not or cannot like yourself, what makes you think another Human can or will? Likewise as you go through life you will meet many Humans, some you will like, others you will not. At the end chances are the only Human you will have is yourself, so better get to know yourself and like yourself. Good Luck

Pal, Ive lived in a hellish nightmare of pain for over 14 years, I'm talking about pain so bad it's hard to breathe. I don't know what you call pain but, you wouldn't want mine.

I have 32 wires and 32 screws holding my spine together along with 12 cadaver bones and 12 of my own hip bones, and, two separate cages holding my lower back together, one of which just broke loose from Osteo-arthritis in the severe degenerative stages.
I have gone through months of spasm and constant pain, there have been times that I haven't slept for three or four days at a time.

I'm on a Medtronic Spinal stimulator now that controls most of the pain, Vicodin takes care of the rest.
I would love myself without pain, you haven;t been there.
