Okay well my cousin is like 6 (girl)..her parents (my uncle/aunt) have been through a divorce..and she has been shuffled around from house to house...at my grandparents house my other aunt said that she has seen her several times talking to herself..like having a conversation yet she looks in a certain direction..my mom and aunts, uncles..tell me of how the house was haunted and they tell me stories of their childhood..i am afraid that she is talking to some type of ghost..or she is like trying to deal with what is going on..i dont want my cousin to grow to be a loon..how can i help her...?

my aunt has tried to ask her who she was talking to..but she denies she was talking to anyone..i see on these ghost shows that the "ghost" tells the kids not to tell anyone about them..

ask your cousin who she's been talking to? and see what she says...
sometimes kids do make up invisible friends when they have been through traumatic experiences and have suffered stress... being shuffled from place to place and her parents' divorce couldn't have helped.
and therapy might be a good suggestion. the kid has really had a rough life so far... child therapists are trained to help children who have had it rough... i hope she gets the help she deserves.

It sounds like your cousin is going through a tough time so she is depending on the comfort of an imaginary friend to ease her pain. At age 6, talking to an imaginary friend is completely normal. If she's harming herself or having trouble at school, that's a bad sign. However, let her deal by being there for her - what she needs right now is a strong emotional support system.

she is 6.... it could just be an imaginary friend that she sees and talks to... and personally so what if she is talkign to a ghost.... now if she starts doing things that are self-harming like cutting and destroying things then she might need to see a child therapist to help with the divorce issue and what ever else is on her mind... but let her go in alone... my mom took me to a therapist when I was younger and she said there in the room... how can I talk about stuff if she is there... and the things I want or need to talk about is her... that was about 25 years ago and issues are still not resolved..... but I don't think I talk to anyone not look at anyone when I talk...

She might have an imaginary friend. You know, she was just trying to comfort herself because of what happened to her parents. Maybe it effected her so much and she was trying to imagine that she has a friend who listens to her problems. Just understand her. Many peoples are doing those things to comfort themselves. your little cuz could be seeing ghost because at this age she is still innocent and ghost are a attracted to that has we get older we lose our innocents which makes communicating with the dead a little difficult.

Don't worry about her she just has an imaginary friend to help her trough these troubling times as she gets older she will outgrow her imaginary friend and she will be fine.
