CH2 33:22 But he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them;

The right to bear arms is in our constitution. I think most of us today don't understand why our founding fathers put that in the constitution. Historically, when the king wanted something, he could send his soldiers to live in your house. If you said something he didn't like, he could just haul you off. By keeping the people without arms/guns, they had no way to fight back against the tyranny of the king.
As our government gets more and more power, they try to take away the rights of the citizens. Hence, now we "HAVE" to wear seat belts- we no longer have the choice. Taxes used to be voluntary- now we "HAVE" to pay taxes or go to prison. They are constantly trying to pass laws that limit or prohibit our freedoms. If we don't have guns, eventually the government could get so much power that we would literally be living in a socialist society, where 'big brother' tells us what to do all the time, and we have no way to fight back, even if we don't like what we are being forced to do.
Having the right to own guns still gives us the right to fight back someday, if the time ever comes where we go through a revolution in this country. What if a 'Hitler' type took over our government? Or a Muslim/type president who said that we all needed to follow sharia law, and that Christianity was outlawed? With the right folks backing him, things like that could eventually happen- and we would be forced to give up freedoms we have fought and died for for centuries. Without guns, we would have no way of pushing back the tyranny that government control could cause.
I am all for keeping our rights to own and bear arms.

I'd think Christians world wide are less prone to be pro-gun. Do you think of Christians in China and South America as Conservatives, really?

I think one reason is because many Christians are pretty conservative. Being right wing also falls into the category of loose gun control (or "pro-gun"). I dont believe that explicitly being Christian makes a person "pro gun", its just the fact that they all mostly share the same conservative values, which includes strict a interpretation of the second ammendment.

Excellent question. Really excellent.
The Christianity we see today is the Pauline Gospel about blood for sin. Paul has a very dark background.. in fact it appears as if he participated in a homicide... it was Saint Stephen. He was among the crowd when Stephen was stoned to death. It's from the book of Acts.7:58 to 8:5.
So the Blood for sin Gospel has a violent history.
On the other hand, the Original Kingdom Gospel is a peaceful gospel as you suggest. It was about "turn the other cheek." So you are right on target.
This resource explains how the dark teachings we hear these days came from the Original peaceful gospel. It explains the whole history of the thing you are speaking about.

There was a flood, a man was stranded on his roof top. Another man came by and offered to give him a ride. However the man on the roof said, " Thank you, but I am waiting on the Lord. " This happened several more times with a boat being the last offer before the man drown. When he got to Heaven he was mad at God, he said, " I prayed for You to save me but You let me drown ! Then God said, " I sent you a man in a truck, and several others, then I sent you a boat, what else did you want me to do."
And that is why some Christians are pro gun.
God be with you,
William, a bond-servant of Jesus,

While I fully respect the right to bear arms regardless of spiritual belief, I do understand why people own guns. My family does not; however, if the time comes where it might be beneficial in more ways than not to own a firearm, I would do it, hesitantly. I hate the thought of a gun anywhere in my general vicinity, really.
However, God doesnt want us to just sit around and not do anything; He gave us brains, logic and reasoning skills.
So if we should be armed depending on our demographic or financial situation, to each his own :)

God's will is for all men to live free. And living free requires a will to establish and defend this God-given right contrary to those who desire to control you (prevent freedom). Guns, political involvement, and prayer are all required. And Christians understand such basics of life better than practically any other group.

Good question, many Christians are pro-gun because of the separation of church and state thing I think. If the government is out of hand they are going to take action. God's will, yes, well a lot of times God uses people and actions for his will. If everybody sat on their butts then it would be God's will, but nevertheless it will play out like he plans.
