Give it time, it is still really early in the marriage...and its a good thing that he wants alone time with you. Take advantage of that.
Tell him that you want to have kids in the next 5 years, and then ask him if we can talk about having kids a year from now....and wait it out and then talk to him again about it.

Having a baby is a major changing point in every persons life and transforms a relationship completely, which isn't necessary a bad thing. Before having a baby both partners should realy be ready for it and 100% committed to the lifelong task of caring for a child. You ae only just married, enjoy your first year of marriage, there will be plenty of time to make and have babies.
I am sure your husband wants to start a family someday, because I assume you have discussed this before getting married and as you definatly want kids I guess you wouldn't have married someone who will never want kids.
Be a bit patient and enjoy a lot of 'practice sessions' with your hubby before the actual baby making ; )

Ok, I am not trying to be rude here, but just hear me out. First of all, having a baby is a choice that HAS to be mutual. Getting preggo and raising a baby can be wonderful thing, but if you aren't in it together, than it can really mess up a relationship. You need to have a major heart to heart with your man and tell him all the reasons that you would like to have a baby, and let him know that he will always be important to you and feel that having a baby would complete your union. If he is totally against having a baby ever, well, then I wonder why you married him to begin with. That is something that most couples discuss before they tie the knot.

You should wait a little longer. 7 months is not a long time to be married before having children. If you have a child before your husband is ready he may end up resenting you or the child.

Take the time to enjoy your marriage for a year or two before adding a baby to the mix. Make sure you and your husband are on the same page before you bring a child into the world.

Not knowing your husband personally. It is really hard to say why he doesn't want a baby. I know for me when my wife wanted a baby and I didn't I had a lot of concerns about raising a child. I was worried about finances, the condition of the world, if I was going to be a good dad amongst other concerns. With a statement like him saying he only want you it almost sound like he is worried about being a dad. What I would suggest for you to do is to sit down with him and ask if he has any concerns about raising a child and if he says he doesn't have any concerns and still says he doesn't want a child. Try suggesting what a beautiful child you two would make. If that doesn't work try explaining the joys of parenthood seeing your child's first step. hearing her first words, hearing her first laugh. seeing your child running to you excited to see you after hard day at work. If that doesn't work then he really doesn't want a child either at this time or at all and you may have to wait a little bit

Did you discuss the subject of having children before your marriage? It seems like something that wasn't settled during your courtship. It's nice to have a baby, but it's even greater when both the man and woman want to create one together.

If you're doing this just because you want to have a beautiful baby to inherit dad's looks, then I think you'll be in for a huge reality check when your baby is born. They scream a lot and they like to create nice warm things in their nappies (or diapers, if you're American).

Babies are beautiful, please don't get me wrong, but when you do have one it should be for the right reasons. Try to spend time together as a couple before you bring a child into the world. Discuss it with your husband first, don't force it.

You are still newlyweds!

Enjoy some years together before you start a family. That is probably what he wants to do. If you force him into having a baby, he may resent you and cause problems in your marriage. You don't want to have kids until BOTH of you are ready.

trust me wait a year or two, because as soon as the pregnancy hormones kick in you won't like your hubby and he won't want to be around you. plus being prego isn't fun and puts alot of stress on the both of you, and you don't need that so soon into marriage And before you get prego make sure your insurance will cover a pregnancy and a baby. because it's not fun having to go through the wait for medicaid and being worried that something could be wrong with your baby.

Give yourself a year of married life before talking to him about kids. Really get to know him as a husband before having kids.

did you both talk about children before you got married? I mean that is a BIG issue to talk about BEFORE you get married? If not, then thats your problem. I don't think you should force the issue on him. If he doesnt want kids, he doesnt want kids. Like I said, if you didn't talk about this before you got married then thats your problem..you should have...It is a big issue!
