If you take the story literally and accept strict fundamentalist doctrine about it, yes. After Cain and Abel, Adam and Eve had many more children. However, Cain wandered the earth, and found a wife from a tribe elsewhere, and the bible refers to a group of very strong angels or giants who lived among the people and married women - therefore the proper assumption is that Adam and Eve are to be seen as the first Hebrews, rather than the very first of all humans. It is important to note that in some primitive cultures, people outside one's own tribe or clan were to be considered a different species, or non-human. That doesn't mean the children of Adam and Eve did not commit incest, it just means it is possible they might not have.

Although the Bible doesn't say that, it is logical to assume that brothers and sisters married. At that time, it would not have been a bad thing- because the race was pure, and it would take a long time for deficiencies and genetic problems to occur, as did with the Roman emperors, and royalty of England, who often married siblings. That's why there were so many mental/physical problems, because there was not enough genetic drift in those rulers. But the children of Adam would not have been corrupted enough genetically for it damage the human race. It was, at the time, the only way to populate the planet, and obviously was okay for awhile.

No Adam and Eve were not subjected to the laws of physical deformity. They were to populate the earth as God himself had instructed. Incest came 1000's of years later

If you believe the Bible to be literal, then yes. However, this is not logical or moral. So, they did not commit incest, there had to be other people in the world. Further proof of this is Cain. When he was banished, who did he marry when he went to the land of Nod? Certainly not one of his siblings.

The bible makes no mention of another female other than Eve. I've often asked that question too. Either the bible is missing a detail or two or it was incest.

If all people descended from Adam and Eve, then incest would've been the only way for them to reproduce.

They were given a commandment by God who's is no respecter of men. It was given for a time and for a reason in which our human minds can not understand. For every time there is a season and a reason to which we may never understand in our human bodies and minds.
