are those mile markers you see on the freeway accurate? ive always wondered that but have never asked anyone. thanks

Fairly close, but can be off. They were, after all, put out there by state workers, or the highway may have been rerouted somewhere and the markers not changed.

They are pretty accurate and an easy way to check if your speedodometer is working proper. It should take 60 seconds at 60 mph inbetween them.
