I think that they are called dragees. We always had them on our Christmas cookies when we were little. I have been looking for them, but can't seem to find them any place.

If I can't get these, is there anything else out there that is similar to these?
Thanks!

they are still available in baking supply stores......but what area of the country are you in? google to find a local place that carries them. if you can't find those the only thing i can think to substitute them is the colored sugar crystals used for sugar cookies. hope this helps

You might be able to find them in the grocery store aisles that sell baking supplies, along with candy sprinkles and colored sugars and frostings.

The baking section of my local Ramey's has them. Ask a baker if you can buy some of their stock if you get really hard up.

We call them cashews in Australia & i've never known why, as there are cashew nuts. You can get them in any supermarket in the cooking isle.
