I came to the US when I was younger as a legal refugee. which means the US allowed me to come here to give me protection from my country. I dont have my residency but I do have my I-94 which is basically the same thing as a greencard. I also have s.s. and everything. Im just not a citizen and if i leave the US then it would take a lot for me to get back in. I got married to a citizen and i want to know do i become a legal citizen or do i still have to get my residency or my citizenship by other means?

To become a us citizen you need to file the N-400 application for naturalization. You can download the form at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis.
No you don't automaticlly become a citizen if you marry a US citizen. You still have to apply for citizenship.
You will find more information and instructions on the site.
Good luck.

Marriage is one of the method for which a person can become a legal resident of the US.

Marrying a U.S. citizen does not make you one. Laws on immigration have changed. I suggest you get some legal advice or research it yourself. Good luck.

your spouse must petition you to citizenship - but at least it wont take so long. Processing will take just 3 years instead of 5 years - I think.

You don't become a citizen AUTOMATICALLY. You still need to file and have your spouse sponsor you.
