That's just not the way the story was fabricated. When you make your messiah myth, you can write it that way if you want.

According to Christianity Jesus' father was God and not a human man. Even if Jesus had a human man as a biological father the Church holds that he did not get married or have children. Regardless of which you believe, the ministry Jesus had according to the Bible would not lend very easily to a wife and family nor is there mention of such. The Bible is clear in its teachings that Jesus considered all of humanity equal regardless of who they were including his own mother and brothers...this would then lead to the conclusion that if he were to have married he could no longer hold all humanity equal within his ministry as obviously he would have a different type of relationship with his wife and family in that case. Therefore, for Jesus to marry and have a family, he could not fulfill his mission on earth and that was to restore all humanity to a right relationship with God equally.

*** Ancestry of a man was customarily traced back through the father, not through the mother. Thus, whereas there seems to be sound reason for believing that Luke presents Jesus’ genealogy through his mother (an exception to the general rule), Luke does not list her. Apparently he lists her husband Joseph as the son of Heli, evidently Mary’s father. This would not be improper in the least, since Joseph would be Heli’s son-in-law. Joseph and Mary were not brother and sister... this shows clearly that Luke used HER family in the ancestory, not Joseph's...

Jesus' Mother was Mary, but His father was God. He was born of a virgin.

Plus its not so much that He was forbidden to get married, but He did not get married. He came to earth for a different purpose, not to do what He wanted, but to shine His light into the world and die on the cross to forgive us our sin.

That was not His purpose on Earth--there were many ascetics in that time, so it was not so unusual for Him to not have married by age 30 or so. I don't believe that Mary of Magdala was romantically involved with Jesus--their love was "agape," or God-love which is different from philos (brotherly love) or eros (sexual love).

I suppose He could have, but that was not His purpose for coming. He only did the will of the Father(not Joseph).

jesus was God in human form, part of the mystery of the trinity.
marriage is a contract before god binding two people together forever
jesus was and is god
so he could not bind himself to a person, because even though he was human, he was god

He was married to Mary Magdaline. They had a child.

Of course, it is all fictional anyway.
