in December? Because I know that it is summer there but here (U.S.) it is winter and Pagan's here celebrate the winter solstice. Do people in the opposite hemisphere still call it winter solstice or do they call it their summer solstice?

The one in December is called the summer solstace in Australia.

We have one in June as well (winter solstace) ... but we don't have a celebration for it. In June we have a public holiday for the Queen's Birthday... that's the queen of England mind you.. but what do we care.. we get the day off anyway!

No, they celebrate the summer solstice this time of year and winter solstice when we're all running around in shorts and t-shirts.

Virgo? The solar is in Virgo from August to September. It leaves Virgo around the autumnal equinox. on the iciness solstice, the solar is leaving Sagittarius and coming into Capricorn. different than for that -- confident, Christians began to rejoice the start of Christ on the iciness solstice in with reference to the fourth century because of the fact something of Greek-Roman society became into celebrating the Nativity of the solar. That became into sixteen hundred years in the past. in recent times they only rejoice Christmas and understand next to no longer something with reference to the Roman 'Sol Invictus' competition.

We celebrate XMAS, ON 25TH December, whether we live on Northern ans Southern Hemisphere. My loving friends INDIAN, also, celebrate 'winter solistic' , Lohri or Vikrant Sanskar, in mid-January, whether you living any parts of the world, living in N and S Hemisphere.

Most southern-hemisphere pagan celebrations are inverted compared to ours. I mean none of the holidays would make any sense if they celebrated Yule in the middle of their summer.

My friends in Australia complain of winter in summer, and summer in winter. But with their close connection to England...they might.
