How would they be evidence of evolution? The toenails are for toenail polish everyone knows that! lol No really I think they have something to do with balance as well as another way to expell dead cells from our bodies.

I've used mine to scratch the bottom of my other foot.
Also, I think dropping a rock on your toe might hurt worse if the nail wasn't there.
