I stole money from a bank to save my friend from kidnappers, and when I handed the kidnappers the money, they let my friend go and then killed me?

What if I didn't have time to repent?

This is a hypothetical situation everyone, not real.

You go to Hell if you choose to go to Hell. Scripture says God judges the heart. Suppose you did those things - do you think you should be judged harshly because of them? Where is your heart in that? Really, you're the only one who can answer that.

The good thing about all this is that God knows all the details. He knows all the facts. Obviously robbery is sin, but the motivation in your case would be righteous. God weighs it all, and the only reason you would go to hell is if you were an unrepentant thief, that is, if you had no saving relationship with Jesus Christ. He covers all sin, so there are no gray areas. This same question has been asked another way: what if someone should come to your door in WWII and asked if you were hiding Jews in the basement? You could tell the truth and they would all be murdered, or you could lie and save their lives. Which is worse, your lie, or their murder? The lesser of two evils is all we have sometimes, but the hell question always comes back to "are you a genuine Christian?" If so, there is nothing that can separate you from God.

if you had time to ask God for forgiveness through the blood of His son Jesus Christ, No. If you did not ask for forgiveness, Yes. When we die we go alone. And you broke a commandment of God only to try to save a fellow human being's life here on Earth. You cannot know what that person's relationship with God is. That person may die and go to Hell one day only to be there with you. Why not simply pray for the kidnapper and the kidnapped and allow God to handle His own issues with these individuals. So, to steal, is to kill, is to lie, is to commit adultery...all the same in God's eyes.

I believe that if hell exists along with a God or Gods that you will have to do a lot more to be sent.

Furthermore I think that a massive double standard exists. The laws are made to protect criminals but, we are all told that we will go to hell for petty stuff like cussing God out etc.

I do not think mankind has a clue of what God will do. Mankind just tells us it's so and we believe like mindless sheep.

A God would know if you repented truly time to do so or otherwise.

Don't believe anything about God that mankind claims as true and remember mankind only seeks to control everyone.

Couldn't you repent on the way from the bank to the kidnappers?

We live in the age of multitasking, after all.

Maybe your love for your friends would cover the sin you have for robbing a bank. But hypothetically the judgment will be measured not only for the deeds you've done the day you die, but all your entire life.

No, I don't think that's bad enough to go to hell over. Your intentions were good, so in some people's minds, that is all that matters. Even if you don't end up repenting before you get killed, wouldn't the killer/kidnappers be more likely to go to hell first? How much room is there in hell? I don't think it's that big of a place if it does exist, so you would be okay in my book.

Going to Heaven or Hell depends solely on whether you know Christ in a personal relationship...there are no scales of good and bad that determine where you are going to go. We are all sinners who fall short of the glory of God and Romans 5:8 states: God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The whole reason Christ died was so that you can spend eternity with Him...because He died, you do not have to(eternal death is Hell)

Are you saved? Have you publicly declared the Lord Jesus Christ is your Savior? Have you turned your life over to Him?

If you haven't been saved and declared the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, then yes you would be going to Hell, whether or not you stole anything. Even 'good' people go to Hell if they aren't Children of the Lord and if their names are not written in the Book of Life.
