There have been rumors about this for ages and ages. He hired some Nation of Islam bodyguards, spent some time in Bahrain, and said some nice things about Islam. But I don't think he has actually officially announced that he is a Muslim. If that were the case, it would be front page news in every major American newspaper, and not just in blogs. He may have converted, of course, I don't know, but he hasn't publicly announced it.

edit: Apparently an Arab-Israeli newspaper announced that he had converted. But I haven't found any other news sources that report the same thing.

He's changed his nose and skin. Why not his faith? News papers, news agencies said: Jackson is leaving the Jehovah's Witnesses behind to become a Muslim (New York Post2003. According to the paper, the pop star became a member of Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam).
Michael Jackson has officially announced that he has been following the five tenets of Islam and intends to convert to Islam, according to a report on the website of Arab-Israeli newspaper Panorama. The report is based on information elicited from sources in Bahrain. According to the report, Jackson's announcement noted he is moving to Bahrain and has purchased some real-estate on an artificial island there. The singer said he decided to convert to Islam because he is convinced it is the closest religion to his personal beliefs (dated Nov.2005).

First, if it's true, alhamdulilah. Always good to have anyone accept Islam.

I'm a bit unsure about whether it's true. The LGF blog was reporting it, but they are VERY anti-Islam. Also, this was rumored to have happened a few years ago, but it was untrue. His family does have Muslims, Christians, NoI, etc. Allahu Alim (God Knows Best)

He may own one of the islands that have been created in Bahrain for the incredibility wealthy but Allah swt is the only one who knows whether his heart is true in his claim to feeling close to the Islam faith.
But it is not enough "to feel close to Islam", just because it suits you, the life you live or how you feel and this certainly does not make you a Muslim.
It is not for me to judge him, if he has reverted to Islam then may Allah swt guide him and accept him.

what??!! lol~

any link you can provide perhaps?..

edit: hm...the article is dated back to 2005, so I wouldn't think it is true. If he really had converted, public must have known about it, especially with all those paparazzi following celebrities non-stop. If he really had, good for him then.
