the one, i would advise that in your question, you should add

"what standard do you have to identify yourself as a hypocrite, What is the criteria?...just saying things you dont do? or is this your criteria?

"Four traits whoever possesses them is a hypocrite and whoever possesses some of them has an element of hypocrisy until he leaves it: the one who when he speaks he lies, when he promises he breaks his promise, when he disputes he transgresses and when he makes an agreement he violates it. (Muslim and Bukhari)"

by the way this means that you are a hypocrite if you

Lies, breaks promises, gets fueled and unnecessarily angry when he argues, and doenst keep commitments or contracts...

i fall into 1st, 2nd, and maybe the 4rth one and unlike before, in my immature teenage years, i am conscious of what i am doing when i commit any of these..i just have to take the next step to stop before i actually commit the act inshallah..

By the way AS we can see HERE, Islam stands up for morals and ethics...is there anything about hypocrites in the torah/bible? (serious question, im not trying to instigate or imply anything, just wondering..and a simple yes or no will do thnx, ill check back l8r)

To be honest, I have been a hypocrite and still do at times. I also sometimes practice what I preach. So I'm a mixed bag, a little bit of both rolled into one, but at different times.

I have been a hypocrite, I am not perfect. I do my best to practice what I preach, and that is all I can do.

I'm hypocrite all the time. This one time I told this girl if she came back to my place I wouldn't pressure her for sex, but I did.

P.S.
Just in case your wondering I didn't get any, that girl left my room all pissed off. But I patch things up the next day and we're still good friends.

Trust me. Everyone's a hypocrite in one way or another. Not necessarily on religion, but on many other aspects.

Show someone who isn't a hypocrite and I'll show you someone who isn't flexible enough to adapt to the changing conditions of life.

for the most part i try, but i have to admit that with my children, i am always telling them not to do certain things that i do or have done. i also have to admit that when i am at work i sometimes get angry at other peoples laziness when i occasionally slack off a bit myself.
