I've prayed for a mate in my life, and I keep bumping into the same guy over and over again, and my heart jumps each time, but I really think about it. Is this the one that God is sending into my life?
He seems like a jerk at times, but I can't help but liking him in my heart. I know it's not right, but your thoughts?

Is he a believer? If he is, get to know him. If he isn't the person that you feel right about, don't go for it. God knows you and He knows who you need. But there may be some changes in your life that you need to make to have a lasting relationship. God loves jerks too. And is he really a jerk? The main thing is, is he a believer? And if you start a relationship with him, you may want to let him know about things that he does that irritate you. Provided that it is justifiable. If he doesn't care, dont go for it. If it isn't justifiable to mension certain things about his behavior, then maybe there are things that you need to be willing to change. But be careful. Marriage is for life. You not only don't want to be married to a jerk, but you also dont want to have jerk kids.
You said that you know that its not right. But you cant help but like him. Can you see yourself spending the rest of your life with him?

Maybe he's not so bad. Get to know him. Pray and ask God about that man specifically. Remember, a specific prayer will get a specific answer.

I was in the same position a few times. So I asked God, "if this isn't the right guy for me, please take these feelings away". And he did, twice. The third time he didn't take the feelings away and that man is now my husband. :) You'll know when God sends you your mate. Just don't force anything.

Attempt just to be a friend first;then as time goes by,see if it leads to a romantic relationship.
