Well, it depends on which God you're talking about.
In Native American cultures, transgendered people are called "Two-Spirits" who are thought to possess an understanding of human spirituality unavailable to the rest of us. You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two-spirit.
In Christian philosophy, many perceive transgendered people as going against God's creation, and therefore view it as a sin: http://www.exgaywatch.com/wp/2007/02/can-one-be-a-transgender-christian/.
In Hinduism, the issue is widely debated. In such a highly diverse religion, there is really no single answer or idea regarding transgendered individuals.
So I guess God has a lot of different ideas about this issue. As for me, I can't say I would or wouldn't be in a relationship with a transgendered person until I met the individual and judged him or her for myself. I'd say God probably feels the same way.

What do I think? Transgender people have existed at all times and in all societies. I think it's fair to say a transgendered state is innate, probably biologically based, in a certain proportion of humans.
Medical and surgical sex change has only been a recent option: many transgendered people are very satisfied with the results. Some aren't. If you are considering this you should have a talk with an endocrinologist, a surgeon and and a psychologist or psychiatrist. They will give the best information if you are considering this option. Many transgender people choose not to alter the bodies they are living in.
Personally, I'd prefer it if we spent more effort adjusting society to welcome transgender people rather than encouraging transgender people to change to fit society's expectations about gender. I'm suspicious of medicalising what seems to me to be a normal variation amongst people.
I don't know what God thinks. I don't believe anyone else does, either. When someone says "God thinks this" they are really talking about what they think, or what someone wrote down a long time ago.

You're talking about two different things here; 'transgender' people don't have 'sex change' treatment; they don't want, or need it. Transsexual people do; not the same thing.
"female to male, male to female" are inaccurate and deceptive expressions; they don't describe transsexual people OR transgender people; a transsexual woman isn't 'male to female' because she was never male; she was born transsexual (and vice versa for transsexual men). Transgender people aren't "female to male/male to female"; they're men who prefer to present as women occasionally (but are still men), or women who prefer to present as men occasionally (but are still women).
If the Bible is taken as the word of God, then God has nothing at all to say about 'sex change', transsexualism, or transsexual people (or 'transgender people, for that matter).
Which isn't really surprising; God has nothing to say about ANY congenital condition. The Bible is the story of a religion, not a medical textbook.

So many people look down on transgendered people, but wasn't the main point of the Bible to "Do unto others.." and to "Love thy neighbor"? Maybe I missed the part that said "except if they.."

I don't think any of the old religious texts mentioned anything about this, however I don't doubt there will be some people who will tell you what God says about it.

You've asked a couple of questions:
God doesn't say anything in the Bible about sex changes. That would be an issue that he'd leave to people to figure out.
I haven't given trannies much thought as I don't travel in the G/L/B/T community that frequently
Don't think I'd date a tranny. I prefer "original" equipment.

If you specifically made a pot because you wanted it to be a pot, then the pot decides it wants to be a kettle what would you feel or say about it?No I would never date a transgendered person, because I'm not into same sex relationships. and a person who has a sex change is stil the same sex even though they have cosmetically altered themselves.

I don't think it should matter because the soul doesn't change.
