I was still a minor when my parents and two brothers died. I was left homeless and alone, and had no idea what to do. I had no living relatives who would take me in. Eventually, a former teacher of mine adopted me. I lived with my stepfather and took care of him until his death. He was the nicest, most caring person I've ever met, and he took me in as his own son. He was retired, with no children of his own. He didn't have to allow me into his home and into his life, but did it out of sheer kindness.

I think I've had a lot of nice things done for me, but the first one that came to mind is when I was pregnant and we learned my unborn child had passed away, family & friends made donation jars and set them up everywhere so that we'd have enough money for the funeral & burial since my husband and I were only 18 at that time and didn't have much to our name.

We ended up having over $1,200 which paid for the funeral and burial with $100-$200 left over. It really made me realize what good people are still left in the world. I appreciated it.

I can think of many....but this sure comes to mind.
I wasn't well. He went out in the cold and got me a couple of different medicines without my asking for it. That too, late at night right after he returned from out of town after a tiring flight. I was truly touched. I was dating him at the time.

Jesus died on the cross for me. He gave me the gift of salvation. I'd say that's the nicest thing anyone has done for me. He gave His life for me.
