I know this retarded kid (about 13) who believes in Jesus. He just believes in Jesus without any studying or active reason.

I'll ask him where will he go when he dies and he'll say, "To Jesus!" and clap his hands...

I also know this retarded muslim kid (about 12) who believes with all his heart that Allah is God and that Mohammad is God's chief prophet and Jesus is second to Mohammad. He believes this with all his heart.

I know of a retarded buddhist kid who does not believe in one single deity, but in a collective enlightenment... He too believes this with all his heart.

....and yes - I do know a lot of retarded people...

Q: Does it take a certain amount of retardation in order to believe things based solely on faith?

Either retardation or simply blind acceptance. "Hey, these people tell me it's right, and they seem smart. My parents are telling me it's right, and they're smart. And here's a book that's thousands of years old and billions of people believe in it, so it must be correct despite the complete lack of evidence!"

That is very low and shallow of you, now do you, really feel intelligent? Or is that the reason you measure your intelligence by the retarded, to make it seem higher?Yes retarded people believe too, and with all their heart, but that does not mean that just because they are retarded that they have wrong beliefs, those that are smart have wrong beliefs too,but the question is, smart or unintelligent in whose eyes?your own or?Nobody would say they are unintelligent! Hence they will bring out how unintelligent another is.Is that real intelligence or just implied?

The answer to your question is no. Those people believe what they are being taught just like all kids. Having faith isn't retarded its smart and necessary. If you want to be saved you must have faith.

That is quite an unfair question. Mentally Retarded people like you've mentioned learn through repetition, not just by faith. I know many people who have a sense of blind faith and an above average IQ..

That's not very nice. (frown)
I guess it does if you value your intelligence more than you value the God who made you.
