Yes, definitely. My best friend is a Christian and I'm an Atheist; mutual respect sees no difference in personal beliefs.

Yes, that's for sure possible!!!! You can't let your beliefs get In the way of your friendships! And people should be able to understand that their friends can think different about things-and believe in different things.
Things can happen you know-like an Athiest and a Christian becoming best friends. And the people shouldn't think that someone's religion Is all of who they are, like they could probably be great friends If they got to know them......I can't think straight right now, so I can't really explain It....but yes-they can become best friends...and why shouldn't they? So what, you know?

Hi Cecile! Of course an athiest and a Christian [or a Muslim or a Jew or whatever] could be best friends. They would both have to be tolerant, intelligent people and there would have to be some shared values such as mutual respect, courtesy, honesty, and the like.
The prominent Australian atheist broadcaster, Phillip Adams, has had cordial relations for many years with religious people of various denominations, including former Anglican Bishop John Shelby Spong.

of course, im athiest, and in my close group of best friends one is Christian and another is Jewish. Want to know what else? my favourite food is pizza, while my christian friend cant stand the stuff. but this doesnt matter, just cause she likes or dislikes, or believes something different then i doesnt deteriorate her character at all. it only when people are intolerable of what your decisions are that they cant be friends. people generalize too much, and think that all athiests hate people who believe in god, and scorn people who have a faith. most i know (personally, not on Yahoo answers) are not like that, just like most religious people dont try to cram god down your throat like they do here.

Yes I think so. I`m sure there could be some heated arguments but still you can really like some one regardless of faith religion or color. There are many sides to a human. Many likes and dislikes. You can have something in common that means a lot to both and still disagree on other things. I think that if one truly believes in God and the other doesn`t then they would have to put aside their differences and not try to push their beliefs down the other ones throat.

i'm an atheist. enormously much all and sundry of my acquaintances is a Christian. frequently, it purely isn't something we talk approximately. There are some who, while they found out i'm an atheist, flipped the **** out. yet they have been given over it. I do would desire to take concern with one ingredient on your question, regardless of the undeniable fact that. Having a popular coloration is plenty diverse from having a perception device it is against the a number of maximum worry-unfastened human rights.

I don't think so.
2 Corinthians 6 - Do Not Be Yoked With Unbelievers
14Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial[b]? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."[c]
17"Therefore come out from them
and be separate, says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you."[d]
18"I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."[e]

Yes, because mostly in those situations the christian is trying to lead the athiest to christ without force but with love and understanding

I see many atheists and Christians become friends on R&S. I'm a Christian and some of my best friends around here are atheists and it's because we look at each others' hearts and not our beliefs. Just because someone calls themself a Christian doesn't mean they have a good heart and just because someone is an atheist doesn't mean they aren't capable of love and compassion.

Yes, but with God's power the athiest will submit. God is 99% in charge of ones spirit all that christians do is plant seeds and water ones life with examples
