Why is it that people in this Jesus-era were all able to talk to God, and now no one is getting any commandments from any mountains or anything? I want an answer that you really believe...because it sounds ridiculous.

EVERYONE READ: You should all be very scared that there are people like The Anomaly out there. Read what he has to say. Seriously, he has no concept of anything other than Jesus, and it is truly scary.

Because God gave us all the information that we will ever need. He inspired the writers of the old testament to give us information on how we were created, how things came to be, how different cultures were created etc., and also He told of the coming of Christ. When Christ came, the old testament was fulfilled, so the writings of that testament ended, and the new testament began. When Jesus died the new testament writings were also inspired by God and He gave all of the information that we would require. And the book of revelations finished off that book. How much more information does He need to give. The books of the Bible are complete. If He added more books, He would just have to repeat the ones He has already inspired. And there is no need for that. God still does miracles today, but people pass them off as coincidence, or just something that science can't explain yet. If some one gets well from a illness that is not curable, people will say that they must have diagnosed it wrong. There is just not enough faith in the world today, for people to except what God is doing every day.

Jesus while hanging on the cross, said "It is finished" Jesus was not only God on earth, He was also called the word of God. Everything He did and said is all we need until His second coming. That is what the new testament is for. We read it and patern our lives after it until He comes. We are not to pay head to any new prophesies or new messages from God because they would be false. What Jesus said and what He instructed the apostles to write are the last commandments. And that is enough.

Rebv. 22:18

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Because it was the evolution of God's plan. And yes evolution is not an evil word for Christians, just the fact we believe we did not evolve from a premortal soup.

The Old Testament was a different dispensation. The people did not have the Holy Spirit in them as we do today and so it was necessary for God to take on a more hands on approach in these early evolving days of His plan.

There is no need today for any more commandments from Mountains. No need for God to appear as a Pillar of Cloud or a Burning Bush. Or even for Him to speak directly, vocally to humanity. It is the age of the Holy Spirit, and that my friend is a wonderful thing. We have it soooo much better than Old Testament people. We have a direct line to God through prayer; and when we do not pray the way we should--the Holy Spirit intercedes for Us. This is a very good thing.

Answer: In Prayer We were give a direct access to God through Jesus Christ's death on the cross.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)
14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

For any person who considers God existing a possibility, even if they consider the possibility as being slight, would it be correct for them to assume that God isn't giving commandments from mountains or interacting with humans in similar ways?

Have you seen any live performance plays? In that kind of fiction there is usually a narrator to help keep the story on track or explain something to the audience. So one possible reason that people were able to talk more to God in the Jesus era (as written in the Bible) was because that was the fictional device used by the author to get the message across to the audience.

Because everything has been done. We are headed for the final days. If People don`t believe with whats already happened what would be the point? In the old testament it says that in the last days that knowledge will be increased. So much so that even the very elect will have a hard time believing.

When they talked to Jesus they were talking to God in human form and that is still possible through prayer. Miracles happen everyday if you really look and believe in God. M0ost of the miracles are taken as good luck or chance and
