She was blessed because she got to carry Jesus in her belly, but we that know Jesus are blessed also. She needed salvation just like the rest of us. She is not Holy and we are not suppose to pray or worship her.

The Bible says she was blessed not Holy. She was a willing vessel.Nothing more or less. We are not to worship anything or anyone but God. Hail Mary means "praise Mary", I think. Mary was the mother of God.Jesus was God manifest in the flesh. As a physical child of Mary he was the "Son" of God.

Hail means, hail, like hail Cesare, it is a greeting. Now, how hard was that?
What religions worship her? Being Catholic I would like to know. I never heard of her being worshiped. Venerated maybe.
Why not call her holy? Is there a reason you believe she was not? Some faiths call anyone holy.
Was she the mother of God? Was Jesus God? IF you believe that he was, then the answer is yes. IF you don't why bother.
Go ahead, make fun of me. Even report me. It matters not.

Yes, Mary was blessed and is blessed amoung women
Some faiths seem to worship her (thank you for that "seem" there, very diplomatic) and call her holy because they observe that she was intimately linked to God, the Christ, and our salvation, which could not have happened without her consent.

"Hail Mary" is a greeting that the angel Gabriel spoke at the time of Jesus incarnation.

Since many religions believe that Jesus was God, she is deemed, indeed, the Mother of God. This was a very big argument that the church was embroiled in around the year 400 (I think)

Mary is the Mother of God.

Jesus is God.

Matthew 1

22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"[d]—which means, "God with us."

She is not to be worshipped.

The Hail Mary is a biblical prayer. Jesus was born through the body of Mary, thus she is the Mother of Jesus (God). She is also titled the Mother of the Son of God (Jesus).

It is ALL in the Bible to read.

Mary is not Worshiped in any denomination Including Roman Catholic, She is honored and adored as the mother of our Savior, and don't think for one second that Jesus himself doesn't honor and adore his mother as well. Hail Mary is like us saying today Hello Mary. Jesus is God and the son of God she is the mother of Jesus You figure it out!

The Bible states that Mary was blessed among women.

Luke 1:39-45:
... When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? ... Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."

Luke 1:46-49:
And Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name."

The traditional "Hail Mary" prayer goes like this:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
